- Hello everyone! In this video, I am touching up my stubborn grays but this time I am using Clairol Professional Advanced GRAY SOLUTION. In the other video I did, I made such a mess applying the color this time I WORKED SMARTER NOT HARDER!! I really like this semi-permanent color my hair was shiny and soft. I chose the color 1A Midnight Black.

Wash your hair, towel dry and apply the entire bottle so your hair is well saturated , the grey solution works with room temperature so you don’t need to cover it with a plastic bag, process time is 25-30 minutes, rinse with cool water, colder the better, use a little conditioner, then rinse it again in cool water. Make sure you use cool water

Hey, does it go bad once you open it? I only need a little of the dye not the whole bottle.
I have used a open bottle and mixed it with a new bottle and it does work but I won’t go pass 2 months.

Room temperature means no heat and no cap.
Exactly. Online product description says its technology is designed to process by exposure to air- no cap, no heat. If you want the best results, Instructions matter.

I think I'm doing something wrong b/c it never works on my grays in my brows or my edges. I always have stubborn grays unwilling to change.☹😤
You may have to get your rinse or color done professionally.
I’ve used this exact brand for many years. I think you may need a gentle clarifying shampoo to remove deep down buildup from products, makeup, oils, that we tend to use more on our edges. Probably same for eyebrows but I don’t recommend using on eyebrows for safety reasons. ✌🏽
@@ohsosherry6930 That's a good idea re: clarifying shampoo. I recently tried it again on shampooed wet hair, & my edges took better. I also sat under a hooded steamer while it processed b/c my hair is low porosity. So, there's a lot of truth in what you're saying. Thanks!🥰
I feel like a clarifying shampoo would be better, and condition your hair your hair afterwards

I’ve been using this color lately to cover grays. The directions say rinse until the water runs clear and then style. Do you rinse with water only? I rinsed and then I applied a small amount of sulfate free shampoo because I felt like my hair felt a little waxy after a cool water rinse.
I tried this on Friday April 1st and let me just say...my gray hair around edges are still here. I was very inspired from watching youtube videos, but my results were not good ones...and i only conditioned my hair after i applied color, as instructed.
Oh wow! I hate to hear that did you use 1 or 2 bottles and how long did you let it stay in your hair?
Try washing with clarifying shampoo before hand as buildup does affect the results drastically.

It doesn't come in many colors. The colors they have are too dark for me
As of 2023, I can no longer use this product. I believe they changed the formula after years of me using it. I always get an allergic reaction from it now.
Hello beautiful lady, I was wondering how long did the color last and did it completely wash out and if so did you notice any staining on your silver hair? I ask because I have not colored my hair in 4 years and my hair from root to tip have not ever seen heat or dye and I have light salt and heavy pepper colored hair and don’t wanna damage my silver hair by staining it but I have a function coming up that I would like a slight change for. Sorry I went on and on with all the details lol but anyhow long did it last and did it completely wash out or stain?thanks for sharing your process be blessed ❤
Hey Sis! Thanks for stopping by! Yes, the rinse usually last me at least 3 to 4 weeks before I see my grays peeping through. No, it doesn’t stain my grays they always come back the same color LOL! No, it all didn’t wash out, I use the whole bottle so there was a lot of extra left that’s what washed out. I hope this helps you but if you never dyed your hair and have these concerns go to a professional .

I haven't seen a video showing where anyone actually deep conditioned after rinsing out the color. I think conditioner bleeds out a fresh rinse.
It didn’t bleed out at all for me.
I deep condition and use cool water to rinse, because it will bleed.
I wouldn't do a heat deep condition right after. Just my opinion. I'd use a good leave in.
How long does this last if you wash once a week?

It lasted for about 3 to 4 weeks.
Does using hair Oil,leave in conditioner,hair gels, other products cause the gray to fade before it’s time to reapply???? Seriously. That has been a real problem for me.
Thanks for the video! My sister and I both use that same formula and dark brown. We both like the shine it gives our hair also. I use it also just for touching up the roots.

Yes, especially if you have sensitive skin or scalp. I didn’t show that in the video because I’ve use this product several times.

It doesnt wash out does it. I want every trace to wash out to try lots of colours. Semi should wash out. I had roots and everyone on here with it has roots. Just not what it claims looks like it covers greys well though.
Washes out after 12 shampoos.
@@Dattie1 I had colour for 6 months till I did something. Its not like a normal colour but like food dye on your hands kind of residue. The odd parts with streaks were worse but that food dye type of marking had roots coming through under it. You could see a line.
I don’t know I’m skeptical about just every hair dye. My grey hair only grows to the roots and never to the full strands of my hair. Just about any dye I put in my hair within less than a week later I can already start seeing them come in. I just bought my regular hair dye today so I guess I will wait to try this one out tomorrow instead. Anything I put in my hair does not last for not even a week!!!!! 🤦🏾♀️ and I’m pretty sure it’s not new growth 🤣
