Wuning County, affiliated to Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the northwest of Jiangxi Province, in the middle reaches of the Xiu River, at the border of Hunan, Hubei and Jiangxi provinces. Wuning County was the territory of Aihou in the Shang Dynasty, so it was called ancient Ai. It was officially established in the fourth year of Jian'an in the Eastern Han Dynasty (199). Wuning integrates the reservoir area, old areas, mountainous areas, and forest areas, with rich humanities and simple folk customs. In history, celebrities such as Tao Yuanming, Liu Hun, Su Shi, Huang Tingjian, Zhou Lianxi, Sheng Wenyu, etc. once served as officials, visited and lived in seclusion here.
