Also, are you letting the paint completely dry between layers? My paint just kind of crumbles. As it's a tutorial, it would be good if you could describe the process, technique, colours/materials used etc...
Sometimes I let the paint dry before applying a new coat but in this particular video I used a little water to keep the paint a little damp. When I use this technique, I often use colors that are already semi-transparent to create interest and depth in the painting as the color underneath is visible. I also don't use a thick layer of paint when I add a new layer. I hope this helps 😊

Do you water down the paint? When i try it spreads very thickly, not translucent/ see through like yours. Thanks.
