Wow…that was….well, some of the best driving I’ve seen in many years!!!
A sprint car guy, I don't follow late models much.
That said, this was the best late model race I've seen.
I'm sure there have been many more that were even better.
But .......... this is #1 for me.

Lawson makes every race exciting, he can drive anything. He made Davenport work for it.
It's all about setup, Lawson just missed his a little. He drove what he had to the max.
Heck of a race, but I’m tired of seeing JD win 9 out of 10. Somebody needs to step up and outrun this cat. Can’t deny he’s a great tho.
Agreed, though over the last several months I have been eagerly awaiting/hoping for the moment Larson finally had that car dialed in and could challenge Davenport in his prime. Tonight was that night, and it sure as hell didn't disappoint.
@@kingcars sure didn’t. Larson was on rails. Once Al the big dogs get together on the regular as the season goes maybe somebody can challenge him. JD has been so dominant it gets old seeing him win night in and night out.

Larson’s cushion drive off was his Sprint car experience. His first slide job was also Sprint car style which is way more aggressive than what we see in LM….well unless your Bobby Pierce.

World of Outlaws Sprints will be were Larson would run a full time on dirt because he wants that championship said that on David Gravel's channel the other night but that could be along time from now because Cup Series on Sundays. Check out the interview on David Gravel's channel good stuff 👍

Absolutely....more and more people are going to their local Dirt Track on Friday and Saturday night.....up here in the northeast we have Super DIRT Car Series big block modifieds....and sprintcars......

The 15 and 49 car shouldn't be allowed on the race track anywhere. Get out of the way once you're lapped. I've been on both sides of this and I'm smart enough to know I should get out of the way if I'm in the way.
Uh...you got the title of this vid wrong. It's Davenport vs. Superman. As good as Dav is in late models, he hasn't accomplished what Superman has.

I thought Larson was going to get him until Pierce got in the way about 6-7 laps to go. JD is always tough.
Man if Larson had more drive off of two that race might would have ended differently. Looked like his car just had no drive out of two.

It didn't get tight. He was just trying to make up ground and was pushing it a bit over its limits. Smooth laps win races.

@@byrontucker2770 In case you misread it, I'm saying that these guys race (49, 6, 32, B5) and that HTF is an apparel company with late model show cars. Joey's thing is far from my mouth, rather it is in that of one of their super fanboys to whom a start and park is a celebrated effort.
1. You could've chosen any other slogan, but you didn't.
2. These drivers are all either apart or running a business, so revenue is revenue (no shame in a start n park). And why risk shredding your equipment or getting run over and hurting someone else's chances of winning if you knew you couldn't compete after qualifying?
3. The top 1% of drivers all had to start somewhere, so many people like you said the same or similar at one point.
4. These drivers and tracks all need revenue, so super fans showing up buying tickets and merch is always a good thing and keeps the sport alive and tracks open.
In the end, what's the point of racing if you can't beat the best

I just always consider HTF primarily an apparel company because they do themselves. That is exactly what Jonnythan did when he took a PPP loan that many consider questionable at best.
