That's very useful; I've struggled in the past with FreeCAD's desire to reset the relative position of the views. A small point, which doesn't matter if you're drawing just for yourself: the template carries the symbol for First Angle in the information block. If your model is left- or right-handed, (like a glove, for example) and you draw third-angle but label it first-angle, a machinist will look at that symbol and make you a left-handed item instead of the right-handed one that you wanted!
Absolutely. It's critical to know that with engineering drawings. I usually use a template for my detail drawings but not for the exploded view as the real estate is more important.
Great workbench. I printed some bushes for a friend. There were differences between the printed model and the CAD model. By using Techdraw and the printed model, adjustments can be made to compensate for print shrink etc. Today I can now get more consistency in my drawings. Thank you for your efforts to teach.
Even though I'll never need to fabricate a piece outside of 3D printing, I still think the TechDraw workbench is an important skill since you can quickly see dimensions. In the Sketch workbench, some are constrained and it's not easy to see what they are.
I love it all and finding it very useful - but can you cut down on the rapid waving around of the mouse pointer - I get a bit seasick trying to follow it around..... Martin

If you could cut down on the rapid circular movements of the pointer it would make things much easier to follow and be much appreciated I guess that you can not do that for videos already published and as I intend to work through them all I guess I will just have to take some seasick tablets 😊.... As always I enjoyed the video, and (as always) I have a petty little issue. The dimensioning dots on my drawing were very much bigger than the ones in your demonstration. I was able to fish around and grab the specific points I wanted, but even when I enlarged the drawing, the points enlarged too. Any suggestions?
I found this on the FreeCAD forum, posted by chrisb: Preferences->TechDraw->Scale->VertexScale. That changes the dimension dots. The default is 5mm but on my computer that's much too big. I set it to 2 or 3mm and that's just right.

John will tell me if I'm wrong about what he's asking, but I wondered too, and AFAIK one cannot do the thing that I've suggested.

I didn't change mine but there might be a setting for that?!!?

When I go to the drawing page the points are extremely large. How do I fix it
There's a setting for that.
Can you not put the dimensions on the drawing with a spreadsheet view.
