My room is called a double suite here in this building. I am a junior here at UIC I just transferred from a community college and came here this spring. Hey I was just wondering if you can give me some tips on being accepted. I know this college isn’t super selective but I’m just the biggest over thinker. I’ve heard this college really cares about taking honors and ap classes in hs. Howmany honors classes did you take in hs?

      Well I was actually a transfer student! So I came in my junior year from a community college! So they mainly looked at my grades during my freshman and sophomore year of college. I didn’t take honors or AP in hs so Im not really sure! But just make sure you have letters of recommendation! (2 would be great) those are VERY important! & making sure your application letter is amazing and that you talk about not only why academically they should accept you but also what you do for the community and what sets you apart from others! It’s important to stand out from the crowd. Anyone can get good grades so they want to know more!

      @Mary Condon I just got accepted too! I didn’t take very many honors classes in high school so I just poured my whole heart into my essay. Maybe we can talk if you accept :)

    Hi there, I’m planning on applying to ARC as well if I choose to attend UIC. You mentioned in the video the bathroom is shared amongst 4 people, although the their are two people staying in the suite. Could you please clarify that. Thanks :)

    • @jacquelynamcc
      @jacquelynamcc 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are two people per room, Two rooms are connected by the bathroom so 4 people total
      Hope this helps!

    I was curious if you knew any people who lived in single dorms at ARC and how they liked it

    • @DanielaCarbajal
      @DanielaCarbajal  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No I was only there for two months then the whole thing with corona happened so I moved out. This fall semester I was going to do a single dorm but I don’t know if the campus will even have classes in person. I just know that the single dorms are similar to the doubles like in this video very slight differences.

    I know that the ARC building has certain LLC's, but do you have to be a part of them to live there?

    Can the beds be lifted? How high do they go?

    • @DanielaCarbajal
      @DanielaCarbajal  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah but I think you need to pay a service to get your bed lofted. They need to bring the stuff to extend it and then I think you can choose how high or low you want it. I’m not sure because I never did that but I know the service the school uses for that is called bedloft.com all info is on that website! :)
