The 16-coach train will be sent to ICF Chennai for mainline testing.
Each train has 11 3AC, 4 2AC & 1 1AC coach
Max speed/testing: 180kmph
Max speed/service: 160kmph

Even on the outside this thing looks like the best Vande Bharat variant so far! It's a great improvement from the frumpy looking local units they showed off recently.
It is encouraging to see especially all the passenger feedback being taken and implemented. Interior color and lightings do make a significant difference. By the looks of it I hope they have reinforced the front nose protruding part to absorb impacts from cattle run over.

1:44 - It seems it is an integrated pantry car with loco car afterall an overnight train must have pantry unlike Amrit Bharat

Anna, I have one question with concern. Will this new era of sleeper VB Express slowly and gradually discontinue the services of Rajdhani Express trains from our Indian Railways or will they run as high speed trains with modern emunities "along" with Rajdhani Express trains ??
I asked this question due to one decision taken by Indian Railways that, no more modern and high speed Tejas coaches will be provided to any Rajdhani Express train in the future.

Bengaluru needs a sleeper Vande Bharat to Mumbai,Hyderabad,Kochi,Vishakapatnam and Southern Tamil Nadu.
The demand in these routes is super high and the existing sitting VB can be replaced by a sleeper VB which will be much better.
Mumbai,Pune routes are in dire need of an overnight superfast train which will reduce dependency in flights and avoid super expensive cabs.

This is a great upgradation for sleeper trains but one thing is that, they should maintain these coaches properly.
You have well explained the detailing anna ❣️. For me the front looks still similar to CC VB and yes they could have given different livery to make it unique. As it is a prototype let's hope they might change it in upcoming trainsets.

Hi Natrajan, I watched some of your videos, like the way you do research and present the information.. while we are in process of manufacturing the world class trains like VB.. it is equally important for indian railways to improve track speed, else are are under utilizing.. most of the southern routes maximum speed is still 110km/hr.. why don’t you produce a comprehensive video about the ongoing track upgrading projects from 110km/hr to 130km/hr .. with info like how much investments are provided for each project and by when expected project closure..
Only one area where Indian Railways just cannot get it right is achieving synchronicity between the seat pitch and window pitch in chair cars.
Its nice ! I am not sure how or when they will upgrade all tracks to 160 kmph though !
Berth padding is very similar to 3AC Economy class. The spacing between the berths are too small in 3 AC Economy class, looks very similar.

The exterior color could have been different. From the initial looks, a lot of space seems to have gone for non pax related, compared to the 3A ICF and LHB coaches.
The interior design is beautiful which exactly showing in Some presentation or some pic but the front face is not look so great and its my personal openion that if its look little bit more aerodynamic like exactly which is showing firstly definitely it could have been exceptional.And obviously livery was just the replica of chair car which was not expected,and Similarly the space between 6/2 arrangement is similar type of 3rd ac economy coach means its compacted little more space needed rest all are ok.
Pls share 1st Ac and 2nd Ac interiors too
I am disappointed there are no private rooms for solo passengers like me.
Berths are small. Less width like 3 Economy berths.
I aligned with you about the replication of the same chair car vande bhart in terms of color. It should have a different color combination to make the differences. Although the interior is so classy. But disappointed with color.

Yeah, I hate the fact that the livery is same as orange chair car VBs. Is it so much to ask IR to give a unique livery for different types of trains? This is just lazy from their part. Rajdhani should have their own color scheme, Duronto should have their own. So should the LHB-fied Garib Raths. Humsafar have their own, but its not uniform anymore in majority of the trains. I understand that there are rake sharing arrangements with most of these trains, but that shouldn't be an excuse for them to not give us uniform livery to quickly identify the type of train.
I don't like that it has only 8 windows because of the separate mini pantry design it consumes more space.
Also railway board & RM completely politicise this train with its colours. Their standards are downgraded, its not like European or Japanese railways, the same orange and red liveries i hate it.
Interiors are decent, but in my opinion the exterior face is a bit ugly, and I'm super disappointed with this livery...
It will take time but changes will happen accordingly

Gutka pan masala tobacco artists will do thier best art talent inside the train. Govt was banning liquor advertising. But encouraging gutka and pan masala. Sad reality of our nation.
I do not understand why we need a fixed engine on both sides. Already we have some electric engines so u guys wanted to produce a coach that is suitable for all engines. The fixed engine on both sides is caused for shutting master jobs loss in future. 😢
Maybe it saves small bits of time while reversing directions..
There is no engine, it's a train set, traction motors are under coaches. These are only driver cabs on each end. Trainsets are cheaper to maintain.
There's no engine used in the vande Bharat it get Power by electric motors engaged with the shaft connecting under the bogies
I am dissatisfied by colour choice of this train, like What the F*** is this, i know this colour looks good but this is also used in vande Bharat and vande metro trains, at least change some colour combination also front design looks the same just like vande Bharat train
See you have to understand the mentality one successful idea copy paste till it work ,same in every aspect in our country execptions are there .
