  • Joint-webinar by OptoSigma and Dr. Michael Young at University of Colorado Denver.
Michael Young, Ph.D. presents a methodology for rapid design of a compound lens suitable for use in multiphoton microscopy using off-the-shelf components.
Dr. Young is a Senior Research Associate for the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus (UCD) where he develops technologies for nonlinear imaging of brain tissue. An award winning researcher, his expertise includes optical systems designs for laser-beam delivery and trapped-ion imaging and detection.
In this presentation the audience will learn how to:
    • Identify key system requirements
    • Create a representative merit function of those requirements
    • Set up an initial lens design suitable for global optimization
    • Build a design from off-the-shelf components

I have a question: How is max-field-angle specification set in merit function?
