I’m an ACC adult born in the early 90s who found out about my disorder in the first grade, and I had headaches for a good chunk of my fourth grade year. They never did find a cause, but your explanation resonates with me because that teacher was probably the least accommodating one I ever had, and it was frustrating. I like when listening to others’ stories illuminates aspects of my own life. Thanks for doing this.
My son's headaches started around age 3. They were full-blown migraines including vomiting. He could only take ibuprophen. We had a CT scan to make sure that there was nothing bad going on, and they never did find a cause for them. As he started puberty, the headaches started to fade. He's 14 and hasn't had a a headache in about a year. It's such a helpless feeling to see your child feel so bad
I love you! Thank you for sharing, from a concerned parent.
