    This was fascinating - I would love to hear an updated version about how their architecture has evolved/changed now in 2020.

      I would imagine not much actually. Most of their core infrastructure services appear to be EC2 AMIs -- not Lambda, Fargate, EKS or ECS. Kafka is still highly resilient and very popular today. Otherwise they didn't specify how their AWS infras is like.

      In regards to their ML infra, it sounds like they're running Airflow DAGs.

    How do we make sure a customer request is direct to a particular shard, I could understand that you mentioned links will have address for a particular shard, however I wanted to understand how these links are created and where is this data in global services stored? Any reading material would help
