    Thanks Coach! So much of your teaching is starting to click with me. Busting myths and proving them as garbage. A little off subject for this video but i have to say my grip has always been strong with correct pad placement but still changed it slightly following ur good coaching. I was one of those ya gotta bow the wrist n now i see that move made me close the face even greater which led me to compensate to keep it open or hit dead left. Sometimes i could pull it off and hit some good shots but not near enough times and i always felt somewhat restricted n unnatural in the wrists. Your recent vid on ok to have that "cupped postion" has freed my wrists up. Cant thank you enough to show us its ok for this to occur. Sorry for winded txt... love what your doing for all.of us whi are lucky enough to stumble on ur channel!

    Stu, I heard you, loud and clear, “STOP PULLING THE ARMS DOWN.” It slows your rotation and swing causing you to lose power. Chest should be open at impact about the same degrees as the pelvis. So the open chest at impact causes an over-the-top move myth - busted. Love, love, love the science behind the swings you show. Cheers.

      I’ve done loads of slow motions of my swing in some videos Steven, my next video I will make sure I get a slow mo in there for you.

    I never messed with these feelings until you posted this video. My driver clubhead speed jumped from 103 to 108 with these tips alone. I played today and was carrying the ball to where I normally rolled out. Thanks so much, Stu!

      Amazing news, thank you so much for sharing!! Bring on 110mph with some more leg action and improved grip (who knows… 🤣)

    • @dsc-nr5zy
      @dsc-nr5zy 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @GoodGolfCoaching haha! I can get 110+ into a net, but it's a little violent for the course at the moment. I'll have to see about leg action. I'm playing well and always around par right now, so I don't want to tinker too much. Winter work maybe! Thanks for all you do. I recommend you to all my golf buddies!

    Always like seeing the data which is why your numbers on hip and chest turn were so interesting. Thanks for highlighting the potential injury risks with "x factor". I have always felt coaches should comment more on moves that might lead to injuries. I have never liked the "bow wrist" concept because on the few occasions I have tried to do it I have felt I could almost break my wrist.

    Stu thanks for challenging the conventional golf instruction. For the most part I think we have all tried different approaches to the swing but I have always seemed to go back to the way you’re prescribing us. I want my hands out and feel like I can put pressure on the ball. Bradley Hughes speaks of this but doesn’t really elaborate. I guess my question to you is once I pull the hands out club head stays back and inside ball, from here what should my feel be to get the club head back to the ball? Many thanks- keep up the enthusiasm!

    Thanks Stuart for a brilliant explanation of why the "X"factor was just a way for some "coaches" to make a lot of money while it also called for a lot of doctors appointments...... I could never get my head around this idea but do admit to having a slightly closed address which feels to me more comfortable and seems to get me a touch better feeling rotation (not necessarily more)...🌟🎊🤩🥳

    Hi Stu,
    Great video.
    The 'garbage' swing is clear to me. Could you please highlight the conditions for choosing between the standard swing and the pulled towards swing? Following you for a while I've always thought that we should tend towards swing number three... Another question, if I may, with drivers (and long irons for those with little speed) swings number 1 and 3 change a bit, it isn't ?
    Many thanks

    • @GoodGolfCoaching
      @GoodGolfCoaching  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Carlo - both the first and third are the same. The third would be a maintenance/repair session to improve mechanics. Once works in, swing one would be your default. Hope that helps.

    Great video,im a big chest advocate, prob as its rather large as well as a large core!, i have to feel (dont know if its real!) my chest (bottom of rib cage to top of pecs) moves first,then milliseconds b4 my lowerbody responds and arm shoulder triangle softly loads
    Most high hcps whip club inside then try to turn chest,i have to feel i maintain sideways on even tho i dont!
    Had to give 4 shots to a big hitting young 7 hcp at his home course in a match yesterday and got a great half
    Glad i follow GCC!

      PS even tho i still have the flexibility at 65yo to produce a good Xfactor i never try for it in fact its almost the opposite,certainly feel wise of what i do!

    I’ve GOT to get on board bc I’ve got zero dependability under pressure. I just shot 69 on Friday only to go 85, 82 in the club championship on the weekend. So severely disappointed in myself. Confidence lost. Need to build a swing that repeats under pressure.
