Coming from being a Janitor losing your wife to a horrible illness and having this talent that you never showed to the world only to be told you are good enough go enter AGT and not only do it but nail it with songs not many people in this world can pull off and then win the whole thing whilst playing with Journey singing their most iconic song, life doesn’t get much better than that. Actually, he proved that most things are impossible, as a lesson all the competitors who were better than him learnt, who didn't have as sad and cute a background story. It's not about talent, it's about helping some guy who's not had a fortunate life. Sucks for all the other brilliant musicians and artists, but it's not a talent contest, it's a popularity contest.

Talent can only take you so far but you need to absolutely resonate with those you are performing for. His background story & very humble life situation is one thing & he is not easy on the eyes but, he did not let that limit him. If he didn’t have a great talent he would have never made it past the 1st audition because only the judges vote. Do you have ANY idea the amount of courage it took for him to apply for AGT & then get on stage to audition?
