Lovebirds and Paddy Grass

How I make paddy grass:
I soaked the paddy seeds for approximately 12 hours, then I removed them and left them for approximately another 12 hours, usually at this stage you will see the rice seeds starting to germinate. But this depends on the quality of the seeds of course. Sometimes I can do the process for up to 2 days, and that's normal. After that, I placed the rice seeds on a tray with newspaper on the bottom. The tray should have holes in the bottom, so that the water can flow out later. And that's it, just wait. And of course you have to water the rice seeds at least twice every day.
Actually it's easy, but it still depends on several things. In my opinion, the quality of the seeds is the main thing. The better the quality of the seeds, the easier it will be to make paddy grass. And of course the weather, and the environment. For me here, using newspaper as the base for the tray is brilliant. It works very well, the condition of the tray base is neither too damp nor too dry. So that fungus does not grow and damage the rice grass. And newspaper is also useful for storing water for a long time, so that the seeds can remain moist for a long time.
