Hey Jeremy. Erie waves (North side) are awesome because of the predominant SW winds and gentle drop off of the sandy bottom. They are more challenging than ocean waves because they aren't as predictable, closer together and it's all shore break. Sometimes that greater challenge comes with a greater reward when you can make it work
I use the GoPro mouth mount. Install it in reverse on the camera then stuff it in the tip of the wing before inflating. The waves are a bit bigger than seen in the video because im up on foil and the fish eye lense makes things look smaller. Best way I've found is to have someone else on the wave. That way helps it puts size into perspective .
Nice waves/swell in fresh water lake..no worry of big fish or big seal to startle 😮 no need to rinse your gear every each outing… I m in SF Bay Areas..Bay water is affected by tides and brown…the coast is not always windy enough or way too windy & way too pounding for wing foil. I could kite but out with Wingfoil is difficult …
I've seen lots of thing from the SF Bay area. Looks like a crazy place for water sports. never thought of the seals . Guess your senses are heightened thinking of white sharks. We joke how there's nothing to bite or sting us if we get stranded out there.
Thanks for sharing and showing us the way. So gratefull you make these videos about lake erie. ❤

Great camera perspective. I can actually see how big the waves are!
