I tried to be a tea person, but it always just tasted like hot floral water to me. I'm becoming a green tea convert after working at a restaurant that has green tea shakers with a blood orange syrup. Instead of drinking a liter or two of Dr Pepper ever shift, I drink about 64-80 oz of green tea. It's helped me feel less bloated and I think it's also contributed to some weight loss, but I'm switching jobs again and I need to start making my own. Cold Brew seems like a good option for my lifestyle, but I like the delicate, fruity notes and dislike the savory, grassy, and floral notes. I'm going to try the yamaga
There is a huge difference between these herbal infusions and super flavorful green tea. Once you've had these it can be difficult to go back the the floral infusions you were describing! Yes, the Yamaga is a wonderful choice, certainly one of our most popular teas. You can get it 10% off for Black Friday: nioteas.com/products/fukamushi-sencha-yamaga-no-sato
yes it works quite well, brings out more of the caramel flavors. We just launched a new gyokuro genmaicha if you want to try it out: nioteas.com/products/gyokuro-genmaicha
@@Nioteascan you take a phone order? I am confused on the website about what teas are in this video. I am new to Japanese green tea and I need some help. Longtime soda drinker and I have decided to switch to healthy green tea. I hear that a cold brew tea can be very refreshing.
you can hot brew the tea and then cool it down but then the extraction will be different. The cool water extracts less of the caffeine and catechins but given enough time it will extract just about everything
lemon - yes but cut off the skin and those white skins off cause if i remember corectly, after while they turn bitter, otherwise you can use just a dash of citric acid (it comes in sugar-like consistency) - it provie sourness but without bitter factor
i like cold breaw and normal brewing but i dont have much money so i have to pick one tea for normal brewing and cold brewing and i really like tamaryokucha and i think it suits cold brew and normal brew very well. [for me gong fu brewing is normal brewing]
Is cold water mean take water out from a fridge? I watched a lot video how to make a green tea and all of them says use cold water and it looks like they using room temperature water so I'm confused. just want to make sure which one is right
I switch to cold-brew green tea in the warm months! Delicious and refreshing!
I just started cold brewing my tea recently. It's delicious.
Im so glad you like it! It is amazing how different the flavor is and some teas even work better cold

With traditional Sen-cha is possible to do it too?. Thank you, great videos
yes it's really good!
Does cold brewing extract less caffeine? I have to avoid caffeine.
Yes slightly less but it still extracts some caffeine
How long does it last in the fridge?
it can last overnight in the fridge
Is genmaicha good as a cold brew? I have genmaicha and gyokuro and I prefer genmaicha so I didn’t know if that would work as a cold brew or not.
yes it works quite well, brings out more of the caramel flavors. We just launched a new gyokuro genmaicha if you want to try it out: nioteas.com/products/gyokuro-genmaicha
Where can I purchase these teas? I would like to try all of them.

I read there will be less caffeine when cold brewed. Is it okay to do a hot brew first then cool it? Can't seem to find any content of this.

Could I put a lemon/lime in the pitcher when letting it rest to infuse the flavor?
lemon - yes but cut off the skin and those white skins off cause if i remember corectly, after while they turn bitter, otherwise you can use just a dash of citric acid (it comes in sugar-like consistency) - it provie sourness but without bitter factor
You can do whatever you want, Asher
Hi there! I was wondering, can we speed up the infusion process by shaking it instead of leaving it be? Thanks in advance for the reply!
this will shake it up but it will also release more bitterness
trying this out now, can the tea leaves be reused for another infusion?
yes you can! I would try using hot water for the second infusion though, otherwise it will be quite weak
Where can I get that pitcher that is used in the video
this was a Boded pitcher I believe. We will try and sell them on the website soon
Where can I find that pitcher at 1:08?
I found it on Amazon. Hario Cold Brew Tea Wine Bottle
So if i left it overnight in fridge is it okay? Or it just going realese more bitterness
you can try it, I brew overnight sometimes
I brew my green tea bag with hot water, is it normal to have cloudy green tea?
cloudy isn't necessarily a bad thing but you should try to compare it to loose leaf tea! I think you'll see a big difference
Does cold brew green tea have same health benefits and caffeine content as hot brewed?
it will have less caffeine and it might not have as many health benefits because the cold water doesn't extract as much from the tea

it can either be chilled in the fridge or just room temperature. it doesn't matter too much!
I think the only difference is the temperature@@Nioteas
