  • Here's a proof of Archimedes' Quadrature formula without using calculus as Archimedes himself would've proved it in his time.
I haven't explained/proved the unique property of parabolas, for a more detailed explanation of the proof, please check out Professor Wildberger's video on the same topic | • Archimedes' squaring o... |

Is there a more rigorous proof for the observation at 1:42? That A1 is the midpoint of AP?
    Great video :)

Yes, we can prove that the two triangles AA1L and APQ are similar (AQ= 2×AL, as PQ and A1L are parallel, lines AQ and AP are transversals, so we have two corresponding angles forming the AAS case, so AP = 2×AA1), hence AA1=A1P

Fantastic video for an amazing result!
I love the visuals, narration, and music that you use to clearly communicate the beautiful mathematics.
When I finished I really couldn't help but say "WOOOW!" out loud.

Wow, that was very satisfying! I just love the cases of ancient mathematicians using Calculus without even knowing it...

Could you add subtitles to your videos? Some people might find you accent hard to understand.
