    I really appreciate all of these videos, Rich. Your channel is an absolute wealth of knowledge, and I thank you kindly for taking all of the extra time required to explain all of this while actually performing all of the work. I love the DGHD stuff just the same, never owned a combine before but man the way Kevin and you went through it top to bottom had me glued to the screen. Just did this procedure on my 2003 and it was Injector #1. I had replaced all the injectors, but couldn't get the truck started after that. Replaced all the fuel tubes and retorqued all the injectors and then fuel tubes still no go. Was getting to the point of calling in a Diesel shop to take a look at it but decided to buy the Injector cap and try to isolate each injector. Tried #2 first and then #1, She started right up.. Now it's just a matter of either trying a new fuel tube or just go ahead and replace the injector (it was one of the new ones). I'm thinking of both, just to be done with it, but will decide before next weekend.
    Thank you SOOOoooo much for your great common sense video..

    "Thank you" " Thank you" "Thank you" Yesterday my 06 Ram Cummins truck was out in a field. It wouldn't start but had good crank. I was prepared to have it towed to a repair shop. I watched your video.BANG! I forgot that the FASS pump wasn't Cummins. Got to the truck with all my tools only to quickly, that the negative line from the FASS was not connected. About 30 seconds of cranking amd away we went. ZERO COST!! "THANK YOU" again

      Diesel is a fuel and gasoline is a fuel but gas is short for gasoline diesel don't run on gas they run on fuel Diesel fuel. No, diesel owners don't want someone to say gas when they mean diesel and people say fuel vs gas to differentiate diesel from gas Secondly, Diesel fuel is just saying this motor runs on diesel and its a fuel. Lastly, Diesel is not like that wimpy ass gas shit that stinks and burns like shit. Moreover, the point was that's the type of gal you wanna take home granted she can cook as well.

      @@raymondpoteet8920 It turns out Injector #1 was bad, even though they were all brand new injectors. In hindsight, think I may have created the issue by over torqueing the injectors solenoid nuts during the initial install. They should only get torqued to 14 in lbs. and I didn't have a proper torque wrench at the time. Expensive lesson learned, but I'm glad I was able to do the work myself and have a better knowledge on the system/process with the help of this trouble-shooting video. Planning on keeping the truck for decades. No DEF and EGR system to muck it up. Hope this helps and sorry for the late late update.

      @@raymondpoteet8920 Sorry for the late response, I purchased the set of new stock injectors from DAP. They were not remanufactured. The one replacement injector was a reman and was purchased from Industrial Injection. I've been meaning to get a new solenoid for the one that was bad. The trucks been going strong since then. I recently installed a Fluidampr harmonic balancer on the crank and its made a noticeable difference on reducing engine vibration through the power band and improved the engine response. Spins up faster than it did with the OEM dampener.

    I was recently on a trip out to west Texas in my third GEN 04 Dodge. The number four injector fuel line failed, presumably a stress or fatigue failure. This happened about 6 o’clock in the evening on a Friday night in the middle of nowhere. No start, low fuel.
    We attempted some lame remedies no avail. (I had no idea about the plug remedy, (did not have one anyway) and I will admit I had no idea of the extreme fuel pressure involved)
    There was no friend or acquaintance that we knew that could help us within a 3 Hour Drive. We ended up having to settle for a $600 tow and arriving at our destination at about midnight.
    We eventually obtained the injector line the next day, installed it, and it started right up.
    I ordered the plugs for my second GEN and third GEN to keep on board for the future.
    A commentor said that your homemade plug is much better than the store-bought plugs. Could that be true? And if so why?

    • @markrich3271
      @markrich3271 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      What company's make complete common rail no hassle fuel systems for the 24v? The reason the common rail systems go out are not because of the lift pump or lack of supply of fuel but the low sulfur fuel and lack of lubrication . This why people swap VE pumps for reliability and p7100 for power.
      I had no problem finding a VE pump or any of the parts there all right there easily accessible. There all stock items for the most part .
      I didnt write just oil . I forgot the word stroke obviously.
