I am about the same age as this reactor. And appear to have a similar taste in music. My top singers of all-time: Chris Cornell, Layne Staley, and Geoff Castellucci. Geoff is that singer I heard in middle age, of which I didn't know I needed to discover.
I adore your reactions to Voiceplay! Your smile is so contagious and joyful. Voiceplay is truly out of this world talented!! I love all of them, of course though Geoff is very special 😂 Can you please, please react to their cover of Golden Hour? 🙏🏼 It’s very beautiful!
I can't tell you how much I loved this reaction. Your appreciation of Voiceplay's desire and ability to create something new warms my heart. Thank you, thank you for doing this so quickly!! بحبكن
I guess that explains why I don't like it. I thought I'd never meet a VoicePlay performance that I don't like, but this is it. And of course, it's not them, it's the song: more noise than music, to this old lady's ears.
The look of bliss on your face towards the end of the song is perfect. This is an amazingly complex cover and they somehow make it seem easy. The project lead on this one is Eli, with assistance from Layne. He also was in charge of VoicePlay's covers of Eleanor Rigby and Creep. His approach to arranging is fascinating.
they do copyright them in the sense of claiming them, but not blocking them. so the reactors have to send in a dispute. VoicePlay always approve the dispute though 🙂
That was a different take on it, and I’ll listen with that in mind from now on. Although I do love this one, Sleeping in the Cold Below is still the earworm I keep going back to, even after learning all the lyrics and all the different parts. (That usually quiets the earworm). I think it’s the first time I ever said their new song is my second favorite. But I guess it had to happen sometime.
It is a pleasure to see your appreciation of what they did SOOOO well! Elli did the arrangement with Layne, and the artistic direction, background, lights ..I think. I look forward to more of that from Elli and more Voiceplay from you.🙃😊
Hi there. I will admit I have never heard of these guys before, but I quite like this song. Thanks for another amazing video. I definitely definitely will be looking forward to you next one. Please take care and blessings to you from England.
I know you did this reaction 5 months ago…but I friggen LOVE watching you react to music! You FEEL music the way I do! I think you are a fellow empath. Thank you. Just thank you. I sincerely hope you read this. Thank you for speaking in your native language as well as English. Thank you for exposing me a bit to your culture. Thank you for your pure joy, your sadness, your excitement, your insight. I have now watched all your voice play reactions. will watch you react to any voice play future reactions… I may even dig in to some of the stuff you react to that I’ve never heard of. KEEP DOING THIS! You have a new fan! Much ❤️ to you, good sir.
I came back because I've been thinking about what you said - that there are now 5 more possible interpretations in the world. That seems really profound to me. And perhaps, in much-loved songs like this one, the reaction depends, in part, on the individual embrace of what's new (vs looking for comfort in the familiar.) I weigh in heavily on the love of the new, and VoicePlay invigorates me like few others do. They make my ears so happy. And maybe that is, in part, because I'm always listening to catch up with each thread as it appears. I can never anticipate what's next. Layne, Geoff, Eli - all do genius arrangements. But maybe, just maybe, the space they give each voice to show us something new, that matters just as much.
Как приятно смотреть на ваше искреннее лицо и глаза, полные восхищения и любви, устремленные не в камеру (для ваших зрителей), а куда нужно - в просматриваемое видео! Удачи вам и здоровья!❤
Loved the fun you were having with this. It sure was contagious. I absolutely loved the arrangement. IMHO, they did the original justice by _not_ just covering it but picking up its inspiration and working on from there. And the result was remarkable.
The enjoyment in your face and the exclamations are pure joy. The distortion was Geoffs voice modified as far as I can tell. This song pays tribute to the original but doesn’t need to mimic it. Nice one.
Thanks for reacting to their new release. I don't know the original song, but like this version. I really enjoy your VP reactions, because you're excited to hear every note, just like me.
Coincidental that they released black Hole Sun when we had a solar eclipse (black hole sun). I find myself enjoying VPs version of old music I didn't care for the first time around. I like hearing the harmonies and the words not drown out by instrumentation. Great reaction. Thanks.
Just so you know, you are entirely too adorable. I love watching your reactions, and this song is such an amazing performance it was a joy to sit with you, metaphorically, and see you experience it.
Love it when the editor sets things straight. 😁 Loved the reaction, you always brighten a day! I didn't know this song before VoicePlay's cover, but really like it now. And you'd be surprised at how much these guys can distort their voices on their own, but yes, this was edited to add more distortion.
Watching you react to VoicePlay fills my heart with joy. Also your taste in favorite music might as well be my own playlists lol. Im guessing you must be the same age as Geoff Eli Layne (and myself). I LOVE when they pull from the 90s....tbf i love everything they do....but extra love of the 90s.
Always incredibly happy to see your reactions!! I just loved this on first listen as well... went to my playlist so fast it caught fire. Eli/Layne did a great job here on the arrangement. They all brought their a-game. Looking forward to your future/more reactions! Thank you and Take care. 🌹🕊
Oh yes! I was so curious waiting, what you will think about it. it made me so happy, when your face lit up - love you and your thoughts!! Yes, please more #voiceplay and #geoffcastellucci and of course our German boys 'Electric Callboy' ;-)
Another wonderful Voiceplay performance. One of my favorite versions of "Black Hole Sun" is the one from Norah Jones in the Detroit Fox Theatre May 23, 2017. It's the same theater Chris had played his last concert in just 5 days before. Moving tribute.
I contacted TH-cam and told them you and Brad Steele were both blocked today on this video. I told them I didn't appreciate having VoicePlay not being seen particularly since I had been following you for quite a while.
My father was fluent in Persian (and English, German, and Spanish). Your feed makes me want to learn Arab expressions. Not the full language but things you say. My list is English, Old Norse, Old English, French, German, and Italian. But it was not to speak or hear -- it was to read in the original language. I have also looked at expressions in Latin which I use upon occassion. What languages do you speak? As always I love your reactions.I give Geoff Castellucci and VoicePlay money from Patreon as per your recommendations.
I still remember how my high school band mates worried that grunge would die along with Kurt Cobain, and mere months after losing him... THIS came out, like Chris Cornell went, "Nah man, the music is here to stay."
Im not trying to be offensive, but watching your reaction was like watching a 12 yr old boy accidentally seeing a girl in the shower for the first time... Your face went from awe to disbelief to stunned silence to excitement... All in the space of about 30 seconds. 😂
VoicePlay don't require you to put a filter over their videos. They are independent of any recording company. I don't remember seeing you do it before. I think the guitar sounds are effects done in post.
Just a FYI to newbies, this is an original Soundgarden song, and it kicked ass. AMR reacted assuming everyone knew this, as he is almost as much as a Cornell fanboi as me. That being said, he may have assumed you knew that this is a kick ass rock song from the 90's. This is an amazing HARD ROCK song, and the fact that these guys can pull this off acapella is amazing. That being said, the original song IS Soundgarden. It IS Chris Cornell, his amazing voice. Let's not forget this, yeah? Just listen: th-cam.com/video/3mbBbFH9fAg/w-d-xo.html
Loved your reaction but was wondering why you haven't reacted to Dimash's recent MV "When I've Got You"???? Or did I miss it??? Help me figure this out, please!!! ✌️❤️
I was wondering if that’s what he was describing too and had to laugh at the vision of Geoff standing there with a kazoo in his mouth. It’s one of those “instruments” that every parent hates because once the kids get their hands on it you’ve gotta find a way to break it. (One year for Christmas when I was really mad at my ex I sent my son to him with a whole set of noisy “instruments” including a kazoo, slide whistle and harmonica😂!!
May I ask one favor? Is there any way to make "Arab Man Reacts" on the videos more transparent❓ I would like to be able to see not only your reactions, but the video content as well. 😺
Just a comment, a month ago I discovered a "Cornell cover band" from Argentina "Audiostoners" the guy is way better than he has any right to be, maybe you could check any of their videos.
Did you know that Geoff always wanted to sound like Chris Cornell but lucky for all of us ended up sounding like Geoff Castellucci.
HAHAHAHA

I just love Eli's arrangements. So creative. You recognize the song but the feeling is so much more intense than the original

So happy to see you enjoyed this rendition! I am "enthralled" by their version of this classic!
Why the quotes? But I agree!💙💙💙💙
This was one of my favorite songs of that era. They kicked it up a couple of notches. Wonderful reaction
Black hole sun was one of the prime examples of amazing grunge/alternative music in the 90s. Such a jam 😊💜💜

Oh man, you had me grooving right along with you. Such a performance from VoicePlay, and I loved how into it you were.
since VoicePlay are independent artist, they don't 'copyright' their videos, so they can be enjoyed by everyone.
they do copyright them in the sense of claiming them, but not blocking them. so the reactors have to send in a dispute. VoicePlay always approve the dispute though 🙂
It’s an automated system, and sometimes things just don’t click 🥲
@@ArabManReacts I think there's a pun in there somewhere...😃
The look of joy on your face - frankly, mirrored many of us! (It’s already downloaded to my phone)
