WOW WEE 😮😳we just watched the entire vid, and REALLY enjoyed your trip to Escalante! We’ve talked about going...not that far from us in AZ, and we’ve watched others do it, just need to GO! Your packs looked heavy, and navigating around those slots must’ve been tricky! The food looked yummy 😋 and I’m sure after that trek, tasted great! We’ve had a few food fails ourselves...but having friends who share, that’s great! Did you take any night shots? That shot of the tents lighted up was SWEET...we will enjoy being YT Friends, and watching your vids! Btw...we are NOW itching to backpack again...THNX👍👏🥾🏕😉
The pack wasn't too heavy, right around 30ish pounds. Just had to carry extra water. I took a couple night shots with the gopro. That one with then tents was around 10:30 PM. Hope to see you backpacking again soon!
Great video. Looks like a fun trip. I've had this little loop on my list for a while but I keep putting it off for other places. Was that a dry baked muffin that was made? I love dry baking in the backcountry, even though it takes time and lots of extra fuel in my experience. Also glad you all had good weather. You all must have got out of there before the area got hammered with rain on Monday.
Yes sir, David did the dry bake muffin! Yeah we were going to do an extra day, but a local suggested we make it out or those roads with the clay would be super slick and not passable.
