The only problem is: that is most likely a political independence, as most of the territory was still in Portuguese command. The last battle fought for independence in brazilian soil happened in 2nd of July, 1823, Bahia (the state a live). Lots os fierce fights and some nasty atrocities still went on this year. The intersting part is, in the last battle, the portuguese gained a lot of ground and the brazilian commanders gave up. The order was to retreat, but, they didn't count on the Corneteiro (Bugle Player) Lopes wit. As the legend said, instead of the retreat call, he accidentally (or not) played the Charge call (most likely really close to this one). The portuguese hearing it, and fearing a Cavalry charge, fled in fear, as the Brazilian Army (with lots of irregulars, for that matter) charged along the non-existential cavalry and won the battle and the war. That's a battle winning deception!! I wanted to share this history here, because it is holliday (not in national scale, tho) today, and i'm drinking a beer or two because of that lol

title is not "Charge", although it was used for that purpose.
