thx my friend works super fine ,can t wait for the nord lead 2 release now :)) seen the presentation the other day so cool what we can have from these oldies :))
Flipping amazing. I sold my XT a few years ago and have regretted it ever since. I saved all my sounds before selling it via sysex. I'm playing them all again now. Absolutely magical! 😁 ♥ 🎶 🎹
I managed to install this and hugely impressed! I'll test it with my XT if I have the time, but on first hearing I honestly couldn't distinguish it from the real stuff. CPU is impressively low too...
This is amazing, thank you. I have the VST3 loaded into Ableton and the roms installed - the GUI starts, but there are no presets in the browser - what could I be missing please?
@@SergioFrias Thanks for the quick reply - I think I have to go find the patches from somewhere then! I thought they might be within the ROM files :) EDIT: Found some at a place called 'preset patch' if anyone else is struggling..
@@SergioFrias Really? If this works, I'll have to donate something to the guys and girls who create these emulations. It's incredible what they're doing there.
@@piet245 its a wonderful time ,ive waited so long for the virus ,now we can have all of that plus the microQ, and it seems nordlead 2x is in development :)
Yes, the Microwave XT upper and lower ROMs are available as downloadable files at the link in the video description. Got it installed and running flawlessly!
Thank you Sergio for your video ! Xenia is working well but despite I put the 2 .bin files in the vst folder . nothing appears in the browser . there is no preset
if you already put the folders containing the patches in the same vst folder, open the synth browser, right click on "data sources", and select the VST folder where they are.
@@Rareos thank you Rareos ! I thought that the presets were included in the 2 firmware .bin files (upper and lower) as for Ostirus. so I got some presets from the Waldorf site and everything works now.
hello Sergio. i try to install this emulation, but i don't see the sounds in the plugin.. it's always Data resource (0) can i have your help please.? i have folow your video

@@arupsircar6620 you don't get the same tones, its something special about this, but of course its a personal preferences. I know all of these you mentioned, never kept them more than one hour. ps: hive 2 yes good but still sounds like a vst to me. the code of the old synths was done differently its more defined, check also the Virus C, Virus TI and MIcro Q versions, they sounds like the hardware I have
You're supposed to make your own sounds or tweak a preset until you make something uniquely your own. I don't understand how people are happy to make music using straight up presets that someone else made.

Hi Sergio, thank you very much for your help. You have already helped us with the other 3 emulators. You can be relied upon. :-)

its really amazing indeed :)
Greetings, Sergio.
Do you know how the wavetable editor is implemented in Xenia? I hope not like the microwave plugin.
hello Piet, no ,its not implemented yet.
the waldorf wavetable editor is very poor indeed.
yes ,i hope xenia will be a lot better.
Thanks very much. Really helped. Where did you get all of your huge library of soundsets? I think you have way more than the ones on the waldorf site
audioz :D

On patch manager,Right click "data sources" and choose the folder were you have the patches.

@@kristianTV1974 Thanks, I had no idea where to find any patches.
There are tons of Microwave XT patches on the Waldorf Web site. Log in and go to the legacy hardware support area.
@@kristianTV1974 I have the same problem, I add the folder with the right button, but it does not load the presets ¿?
Can you load your own wavetables with this emulation? There are slots for user wavetables.
Wavetable editing is coming soon :)

Hi thank you so much for posting this! Do you know if it’s possible to load Microwave XT firmware? (not just MW 1 and 2)

What about Audio Units? Where do the EPROM files go?
I put them in the Components folder where the AU file is placed. The patch files/banks can be anywhere, you just point to them.
