I’m right there with you on that one because they’ve already left Snow White up who is my favorite freaking Disney princess they better not have stitch up who is my favorite alien/dog and he’s cute and fluffy.
This 3d version is so inferior. people need to understand that 2d animation is a form of art , and Not something temporary wainting to be replaced for a version with actors , and 80% cgi creatures , backgrounds, etc :(
Why would anyone watch another Disney LA remake after Snow White? Plus, they fired David's LA actor for being "too white," despite being ethnically Hawaiian. EDIT: David's actor, not Nani's
Chris Sanders wrote all of Disney’s classics, from Beauty and the Beast, Lion King, and Aladdin, and then after making Lilo and Stitch, he made Dreamwork’s work of art, How to Train Your Dragon. He should be heralded as the man who MADE Disney what it is.
The original 'Lilo & Stitch' is a stellar fun film. The live action looks already to be a solid companion to the original. Crossing fingers, the new film sticks the landing with box office gold for audience of all ages.
I remember 80's movies such as Gremlins, ET, Short Circuit and wish they'd use these talent to make new movies in this general idea of cute monsters instead of making remakes of movies which the original holds up perfectly fine.
I'm more concerned with Pleakley. Don't forget, he had a tendency to dress as a woman. It was initially played for laughs and absurdity, but now? How do we know Disney won't use Pleakley to push a heavy trans message?
All they need to do is just make it like the og where you weren't really sure what the gender was and just used it as a way to blend in as much as possible.
First improvement, clean backgrounds with tons of colour. Stitch looks very believably real, and of course the voice that everyone remembers and loves.
The fact that the og voice actor is doing this gives me a glimmer of hope. This is my sister's favorite Disney movie so I'm keeping a close eye on this one.
I think it's too soon to call. A few seconds of Stitch being Stitch (and the deprecating smashing on the castle) might seem a good sign, but until we see how they've opted to infuse DEI (someone mentioned Pleakley and that's a pretty obvious entry point for a trans-analogue), but Nani (or even Lilo) could end up as an alphabet character, they could crap all over David as a toxic (or idiotic) male, gender-swap Bubbles... there's a LOT of ways to wreck it even if they get Stitch himself right. I'd love to be optimistic, but I'm just not sure. They've done such ridiculous and blatantly terrible things, I've adopted a "believe it when I see it" approach. I'll hope for the best though.
This is the one live action remake they can't drop the ball with. Lilo & Stitch is arguably the last multi generational animated classic in their entire library. You can maybe make a case for Frozen as well but really this is the one that the entire family would willingly go to if it's even halfway decent.
I hope we seen companies like Disney stop pandering to certain groups with agreeing to unrealistic quotas of who is in or involved with making movies and programs.
It is NOT possible to hate Lilo & Stitch - this one is likely their Sonic of their live action library with potential. Indeed, this one I do hope it gets a sequel cause I wanna see the Cousins.
As long as they can get Lilo as good as the original movie, this might be the first genuinely GOOD live-action remake since the Jungle Book (Christopher Robin and Cruella don’t count as remakes)
Another effing "live action" Disney IP mining. Was Lilo and Stitch Disney's last original idea? I'm still not giving Dei-sney any money until the officially denounce their DEI
I wouldn't be celebrating just yet. I remember with the Lilo and Stitch TV series on the Disney channel had Jamba and Pleakley "marry" to trick the parents. After that, the weirdo groups were claiming they were an "official gay couple". Disney could easily get ideas. Like I said; don't get too excited.
I appreciate your perspective, but it's hard to overlook how incredibly charming the actress portraying Lilo is. She seems like she could be an excellent fit for the role.
Disney can't resist wagging their finger. I predict there will be an argument over what Stitch's pronouns are, and Lilo coming out will be a big part of the story.
And they'll be trying to figure out what gender Stitch is. Disney will publicly defend it with, "Well, we never really specified it in the first place!" I can just see it now...
It's too early to say, Imo. They've got the stitch character part of it correct, but that doesn't mean they won't try something else in the actual movie. I'm anticipating some kind of heavy messaging or campaigning for something or an illusion to a certain favorable group or message
the writer/director/producer of the new "How to Train your Dragon" is the co-creator of "Lilo & Stitch" ... so if he's gone woke for the first one he's gone woke for his baby
I’m hearing this now as a female I am not exactly a fan of the Wicked movie nor am I a gamer but I am more excited about sonic3 than the Wicked movie hell not even for those two Disney movies and that’s saying something can’t wait to see sonic 3
WIth disney's dei pushing record I'd hold off calling anything they produce as non woke until it comes out completely. It wouldn't surprise me once more info comes out they make stitch gay to fit the modern disney agenda.
To be honest, I do not know if LILO and Stitch live action is going to be just as good or better than LILO and Stitch, but even with a creative consultant toxic manbabies who work over there will mess it up. That’s pretty much if the toxic people opens there mouth and instead of promoting they are basically like saying, “You can’t have pie unless you eat the Brussel Sprouts first.” And even if they did they will group the people into the quote without knowing. Thats pretty much how not to promote a movie or a show, what is best is just stop the whole narrative thing that’s like a forced change that nobody wants nor expected and just only talk about the movie or show and let the people decide to take that chance. Once the ability of choice is taken away that will be an automatic failure despite if it’s popular on opening day, they need to let people make their choice on their own and if it is popular they will come back to another viewing to get that same feeling. Disney you need to get people to come on back not drive them away, so don’t listen to the toxic people whose main focus is to provide imaginary preferences of diversity and inclusion listen to the people who entertains the audience into diversity and inclusion. However, knowing Disney they are pretty much predictable with the woke DEI agenda thing that they pretty much double down on the toxic people instead of helping the movie succeed. So, hopefully they promote it with love because love makes people see movie, but if they promote it with hate or have a conflict with love and hate the people will only watch once and never again until a lot later probably until the woke DEI agenda star is an old woman with a trillion of cats because they couldn’t find a love strong enough to stay. Oh that seems like a good Tshirt idea support “DEI” become a cat lady.
Lilo and stitch is favorite of mine but this trailer isn't enough for me. I dont like these short trailer personally. I dont have enough info to get excited but most people seem to like less than me. I am the type of person who wants all the info in the trailers before the info
I love more than 2 I thought it was great I wish they would have focused a little more on the villain she only had 2 scenes but for what it was it was good😂
Ehhh you can’t turn Lilo and Stitch into a wine movie, the main characters are already portrayed by Hawaiians they aren’t white. (I’m lib and to this day I still can’t understand how blind some individuals are that Disney had always been diverse)
This teaser trailer had me laughing. Definitely want to go see it. Looks like a win win from my point of view. Will Disney start turning things around? I take it that Rachel Zegler isn't in it, so yes, it'll be a good one worth my time and money. Lilo and Stitch isn't one of my favorites, but is still worth my time to go see. Im looking forward to this one.
I’m reminded of the 1864 Salon of de Refuses where Manet and Renoir were segregated from the mainstream works of the time. What an amazing rebirth of fine art and culture.
Lilo & Stitch is the one live action remake I've been saying they should make because the whole premise of space aliens coming to Hawaii lends itself well to a cgi live action hybrid
Old white guys! WE are so "not liked" these days. Even if you are a Christian and super nice to everyone with a GIANT heart - we are, the bad guy? I don't think so. Yall rock dudes!
I would add that their also Sonic fans that are separate from SEGA Fans and 90s Fans, so their that audience too, and Sonic alone like other franchises been in other mediums too from TV Shows to Comics, so Sonic 3 more or less set in stone, just has to put up for Lilo & Stitch, it's not exactly Safe yet, going by Disney's Track Record, it has a lot to prove still, it's about how Lilo and Nani are portrayed
I don't see how their big problems are fixed when all they do is sequels and live action remakes. Its big problem is its lack of creativity and talent.
I really do believe that the Lilo and stitch is gonna do great at least I hope it does, but I don’t think that even that is gonna be enough to save them from the crater that they’re gonna find themselves in when snow not white and the 7C abominations bombs.
I’m really tired of the live action remakes and I’m so tired of disney disrespecting their audience. The stitch movie is Lilly a clap back at the man who created it for going to dreamworks and being successful and will try to hurt the dragon remake with his own stitch work 😢 they are just that petty.
Lilo not in the trailer, immediately makes me think they are making her black and want to avoid the negative press. If she isnt then Nami will be queer. And if they somehow, miraculously avoid both of those poor decisions then I will be cautiously optimistic for this. And that is about as good as you will get from me given their state of movies.
I'll say this about the Lilo & Stitch teaser, smashing the Disney Sandcastle is a Sign of Self Deprecation...and that's a Positive. Thing is Disney has a Slate Across Several Genres that are Having TROUBLE of the DEI Kind. So the Danger Zone is where Disney is right now, in that There's Potentially MORE BAD on the Way than GOOD and All of that BAD Can POTENTIALLY DESTROY Any Honestly EARNED Positives and Leave Disney where it Currently is...Behind the Pack and LOSING BADLY. No. Just. No. I’m not giving yet another unnecessary live action remake of a fantastic hand animated film a chance. I don’t care if the original Stitch voice actor has signed on to participate in his own soulless cash grab. Boycott Distard into the ground!
Lilo and Stitch is a none white female lead movie, what would Disney want to change to F it up? Also it did the sister relationship way, way before Frozen. Without Disney feeling the need to change things, this movie should be OK🤞
That last part you just said I disagree with inside out 2 not strictly made for women that movie was made for everybody why you make it sound like men will not be interested in seeing that. That being said when it comes to Lilo & stitch everybody would love this character so is no surprising Disney took his time to make sure the remake was done right
I just realized there was not one single glimpse of Lilo. With Disney's recent habit of race/gender swapping main characters, Lilo could be a Nigerian boy, now. I'm gonna wait until I know for sure WTF Disney is up to this time.
Everyone thinks Stitch is this cute little thing- they forget he is a bioweapon and a hardened convict. When something like that bounces you into the wall and gives you choice between changing your ways or the number of limbs you have, the smart choice is change. Must disagree, without respect, with Tom- Wicked and those other dog farts of novels, are not canon. Only idiot theatre kids think that crap is actually Oz.
I mean considering the fact they got the original stitch actor and director for this movie. I doubt it. I mean usually a remake is following the same formula as the original.
You know, you guys, when forty of you are trying to talk at once, it just pisses me off, because I want to hear what everyone has to say, but that's impossible when you're all butting in on top of someone else talking because you think you have a clever one-liner you just have to throw in with complete disregard of how phenomenally rude and self- centered that is. Just grow up and show a little respect for one another. There's nothing professional about doing that, and completely squelches all those claims you make at the end of each episode about how wonderful and glorious it was to watch. It's not. It just makes me want to curse you and click away.
Stitch had more character in the trailer than every animal from the Lion King remake.
There was nothing wrong with the Lion King remake
If they F Lilo and Stitch up I will be pissed.
I already have been for a long time now, so I'm not going to bother with it. I don't have any trust in modern Disney at all anymore. 😢
I’m right there with you on that one because they’ve already left Snow White up who is my favorite freaking Disney princess they better not have stitch up who is my favorite alien/dog and he’s cute and fluffy.

@kipolem53 That makes no sense. People who didn't like Moana 2 would be less inclined to see the remake
Sydney Agudong wasn't fired (thank God), the actor cast to play David was!
they had problems casting 'David' too- apparently he 'wasn't Hawaiian enough'
@liampatrick3110 yes they did fire who they had for her because people complained she wasn't dark enough.
Stitch doesn’t look too bad, but stay on guard, Disney could still screw this up.
Maybe maybe not
I agree. They might be hiding all the woke stuff.
I’m hopeful. Moana 2 wasn’t THAT bad. My daughter enjoyed it and I found some parts to be funny.

I don't care how good it is, I will never spend a penny on any Disney product.
I just realized there was not one single glimpse of Lilo. With Disney's recent habit of race/gender swapping main characters, Lilo could be a Nigerian boy, now. I'm gonna wait until I know for sure WTF Disney is up to this time.
No it think they will swap bubbles for a female because a man telling her what to do is according to disney a bad thing.
Stitch CG?? That turned me off, gave me Sonic vibes. I was expecting animation like the original movie.
Rachel Ziegler gets trashed by a psychotic alien dog. Beautiful.
I don't trust Lilo and Stitch
Don't worry. They will make Lilo white in this one this time.
So what now DEIsny?
Lilo's parents are actually transgenders?
instead of being friends, Lilo hates Stitch for stalking her?
weird, weird
I mean considering the fact they got the original stitch actor and director for this movie. I doubt it. I mean usually a remake is following the same formula as the original.
this isn't an animated movie- we aren't doing that version...." :)
Disney will probably race swap, gender swap the red head kid. LOL 😂😂😂😂
