If the censors thought “Wake Up Little Susie” was risqué, I have no idea how this song - and this performance - slipped by them. I can’t stop watching it. It puts such a big smile on my face.
I LOVED this show, so many great performers. Love these songs!! Love The Everly Brothers, especially Phil!!!
Those were the days when the high points of the week were watching “Shindig”, “Hullabaloo”, and “American Bandstand” and waiting for the newest issue of “16 Magazine”. What a great time to be a teenager.
That was in February 2 1965. My younger sister was born February 19 1965. Wow! Lol 😂 🕺🏼🕺🏼💃🏻👯👫👬👭🚶🚶🚶🏃🏻 😎🎸😎🎸🎊
Glad that this could be a recording with live vocals. Thanks for posting.

😊😅
Even back then I thought that the dancers were so lame and distracting!
I know!
They were.
Hahahhah, right?
At least the people claps are in the correct time!!!,
not like the audience in
the Dick Clark Show.
@@ernestoclaudodip9671 Dick Clark clappers were taped from a different broadcast and repeated no matter what prerecorded song was being mined to.
