The video describes the use of this enhanced biological treatment (or bioremediation) at the Romic facility in East Palo Alto, California. These microbes break down the contaminants into carbon dioxide, water and salt.

The microbes in turn break down various contaminants into harmless byproducts, like carbon dioxide. The EPA has been trying to label what we exhale as a pollutant
