Nice 2nd episode to Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga Hazah! I like the strategy you used for Tolstar being the first actual boss you face in the game not holding back with Bros. abilities and getting an advanced during that battle. As Tolstar's fight is a good first real boss fight when having first arrived in the Bean Bean Kingdom in the game.
To be honest, if I was playing this game, I would recommend defeating as many enemies as you can when you go to places in this game. Only because that way the more enemies you defeat, the more EXP points you'll get to level up Mario and Luigi. Besides I used that strategy when I was playing Bowser's Inside Story originally for the Nintendo DS and it helped me out a lot.
That’s a very fast Advance style, very cool, also a good first boss fight, simple for a oddball king, but hey least he was decent enough to not let the guards take Mario n luigi into there kingdom’s dungeons. Now that said the bro attacks are definitely handy especially for advanced distance reaching.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Have you noticed that as you keep upgrading a certain stat consistently, the "bonus" gets lower and eventually becomes all 0? That's because the game doesn't like it when you keep upgrading one stat continuously - it demands diversity! I've actually seen the "bonus" for stats that don't get upgraded in a long time go up to 7. Pretty much, the rule of thumb is, whenever you level up, share your bonuses with all your stats.

Oh Syrup Jars Luigi? Those replenish you FP (Flower Points) when you used up all your Special Attacks. Make sure you have some just in case Luigi.
