CENTRAL A/C COMPRESSOR FAN NOT MOVING - FIX IT!

So you got home and your central A/C seems to be working but the house is hot... you checked outside and even though your blower is running, the compressor outside is standing still. You go outside and stand next to the compressor, every so often it makes an electric noise, but nothing happens.... you start wondering to yourself about how much this is going to run you, and how much it is going to ruin your plans...

Thankfully you checked youtube first and found this video that will show you how to property fix the unit. Hopefully you are doing this proactively (probably not) and are keeping one of the replacement capacitors (find it on Amazon, as local stores are unlikely to sell one to you) so that you can use it in the emergency like this.... after all they only meant to serve 12 years on average (in some cases far less).
The cost is $10-15 shipped from Amazon. If you have someone come out and do this for you. You could be out $400-600 - in some cases more if it is on a weekend or holiday.
