Wow, I was actually praying about this. I hear a lot of Christians talking about how they no longer feel the same passion that they did when they first were saved and accepted Christ. As someone who has just known and believed for maybe a year and a half, I was sacred, I asked myself if I would become like that. If I would lose the love that I have now, and that this love wouldn't grow. This came at the right time. Thank you.

In the sphere of fallen human beings, love is taken to based on fleeting feelings. But on the part of our God, love is a commitment, a decision. That is why he commands us to love with all our heart, all our mind, and all our strength, and your neighbor as well. matt:22:37-39. When we understand that, we still love him even when the fleeting feelings have evaporated we're still in love with knowing he committed himself to love us as demonstrated through the Lord Jesus. Even when pray and believe and things do not come as we prayed, hoped, confessed, or bragged. the Lord, cried father if it be possible let this cup pass, then he said not my will but yours be done. What kept him on the road to the cross, not feelings, but love ( commitment to the father) for God so loved the world that he sent his only begotten son. Today, human relationships decay, crumble and disintegrate because it's all about me myself, and I. No commitment, no price, we call fair-weather relationships. our commitment to love the Lord is based on an understanding of scriptures that he will NEVER LEAVE US NOR FORSAKE US. When you understand this truth, your heart will be focused on his truth even when you do not hear his voice because you know, he's there in your heart. Happy Saturday, February 6th, 2021!

Hi! Thanks for asking. Jesus taught us to pray to the Father. He died for us so that we can have a relationship with the Father, and may know Him. The saints always said not to worship them but Jesus and the Father. Mary in her lifetime never received worship as well. According to the Bible only God and the Son are worthy of worship, including prayer. For we cannot pray to someone who does not have the power to answer our requests. Nor do they have the power to pass on our prayers. Only Jesus is recognized as our High priest and mediator. So let's approach God through Jesus, who said expressly that He is the only way, Truth, and life.
Praying is not equal to worshiping. The Biblical worship is always related to sacrifice. Rom 15:30-32, 2 Cor 1:10-11, Eph 6:18-20, Phil 1:19, Col 4:2-4, 1 Th 5:25, 2 Th 3:1-2, Phile 1:22, Heb 13:18-19 1. All the above passages are samples of Paul (& the author of Hebrews) speaking about the efficacy and need of other people’s prayers on his behalf. 2. James 5:16, “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” 3. Hebrews 12:23, “to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect” 4. Praying to the saints is a natural outcome of our faith in eternal life of the believers in Christ, for Luke 20:38 says, “He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for to him all are alive” 5. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God's people.” The elders take our prayers and present it before God. 6. The Kingdom of God is not about a narcissistic King who wants only himself to be everything. The kingdom of God is the family of God where everyone loves and cares for each other - not because God cannot take care of everyone, but He prefers His children to take responsibility about one another. The answer of God to Cain’s “Am I my brother’s keeper?” is “Yes, you are your brother’s keeper”. Not only in the physical life now. But for all eternity. 9. The mind of God can be seen in Mathew 19:28, "Jesus said to them, "Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel." God gives us all a role to play for all eternity. Heaven is not a boring passive life. It is a constant exercise of receiving God's love and giving it to others. If we have decided something firmly, even God can't convince us I guess. Rev 5:8 shows us that the elders who fell before the Lamb and they were offering the prayers of the saints (meaning the faithful people on earth). Most of the New Testament was written to an existing Church community which already had a form of worship, customs and practices. The apostles were writing to complement, supplement and correct abuses. That's why Paul tells in 2 Thess 2:15 that they should hold fast to the traditions handed over to them by word of mouth or by letter. When we are cut off from the Church tradition and look only at the Biblical text we can interpret in a million ways because the context of the Bible is the living Church, which is a body with continuity from Jesus and His Apostles to this time. When that continuity is broken we begin to take the whole Bible out of its actual setting and context.
