The BEST route for the ANNAPURNA CURCIUT | Annapurna Circuit Nepal #1

- The beginning of the Annapurna circuit has changed a lot since the addition of the jeep road. In this part of our trek in the Himalayas of Nepal we took the route less traveled and visited many tea houses and beautiful parts of the less traveled circuit. This trip was done shortly after the pandemic so things may have changed since. Enjoy!
This is the first part of a series based around the Annapurna circuit that my friends and I did in October of 2022.
Next episode talks all about our experience in Manang, Ice Lake, and the Throng La Pass.
See you next week!

Anyone planning this October,? Let's do it together
I am
Which trek are you planning to do??
I did the Annapurna Circuit trek 24 years ago. I am planning on going back to Nepal for another trek this Oct (I land on 10/11, and leave Nepal on 10/31st, but want to spend a little time in Kathmandu w old friends)
Right now I cannot decide if I want to do the AC trails again (which I heard is terrible now bc they allow Jeeps and there is a lot of garbage left by trekkers - which I am very sad about. So, if do AC again I want to look for an alternative route with no vehicles on it.
1) I want to do this solo (no guide or tour) . But I just heard we MUST hire a guide now??? Do you know if this is true?
2) Do you know anyone who did the trek recently and have a GPX navigation file of the entire alternative route of the Annapurna circuit that you would share w me?? Thank you in advance!
3) My 3rd concern about the AC route is if can I do it in 14-15 days??? (including Tilicho Lake?? - which I really want to do, bc I didn’t get to do this during my last trip there!)
4) If I don’t do the AC route again, I am thinking about doing a different trek all together -Dolpa to Shey Phoksundo National Park
4a) question would be: Can I do this Trek in 15 days???
4b) I have seen people do this Trek solo (without a guide) very recently (last year, and it seems a lot more remote than AC, of course AC is the most popular- but this also makes it the most congested trek, which I am trying to stay away from all the commercialism, 😂)
5) Not sure if anyone else doing either of these treks in mid Oct? And would like to join??
@@chowfunds will take updates from my friends and let you know asap. Thanks.
I want to start trekking at Besisahar, but take the “no vehicle alternative trail) all the way up yo manang, then do a day trip to Tilicho lake, to acclimate. Then come back. Then next day, Trek up to Thorong Phedi (and stay there.). Following day, Trek up to high camp for a day trip to acclimate. Then come back to Thorong Phedi to stay: Then attempt Thorong La (the highest point.)
I am a trekking guide myself from Nepal. All i want to say is this trek is a must do once in a life time. Not only this Nepal offers a lot of a topnotch treks like everest base camp trek, manaslu circuit trek, langtang trek, round dhaulagiri, annaurna base camp trek etc and many more. 🙏🙏🙏🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵
What a sceneries and the landscapes 🏔️🌲❤ magnificent views. One day I will visit Nepal - from Japan
Nepal is waiting for you. Hello to Japan!
Welcome to Nepal
Really cool, Evan! I'm waiting for part 2! Looks like it was an incredible trip.
thank you for visiting Nepal 🙏🙏🙏🙏✌✌
I have just been there two weeks ago amd it was surreal freelings and i can't tell it in words its kinda a feeling which makes your journey thiraller ❤❤❤
I think I started in besi sahar, they were some of my favourite days. Hot, green, lush. Monkeys in the trees. It was the perfect way to start before you pass dry, cold and arid 8 or so days in. I thought that was the normal route. Each to their own but if your going, don’t go all that way, and skip part of the journey. It’s worth it.
Hotel mountain Bridge in upper 👍👍👍
Love the camera work man! Keep it up!
Thank you!
Eh heeeemmmm as a group of 4 that then happily became 5 great video man!! Keep them up, this brought back so many memories and your editing and narration are on point!
Thank you! Glad I could bring up some good memories.
Great video! Well done, I've thought of doing the ABC circuit. Cool to see it through your lens.
Definitely recommend it! I can't wait to get back to Nepal.
Nice video ❤❤❤
Thank you!
Beautiful
I am flying from Reykjavik Iceland October 13th to do the Anapurna Circuit (the big one 250 km) from Sante to Naya Pul.
beautiful place my Nepal 🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵❤❤❤❤❤🙏
Hi kp❤🎉
Nice video and explanation. A little bit of misinformation but you are good advocates for Nepal. No need to exaggerate because it's dire enough. Beautiful footage!
Thanks for watching! Would love to hear more of your point of view.
@@goodlifepursuer Clearly your heart is in the right place. It boggles the mind that trekkers start later (usually Chame) and miss the lower trails from Besisahar. Even if Tilicho is not the highest lake in the world it's still a worthwhile venture. December was damn cold over the pass and almost as difficult as going clockwise over Renjo La, so a huge accomplishment for you guys. I would advocate for a massive tourist tax in Besisahar (hundreds of dollars) for any foreigner taking the road in a jeep, in order to dissuade them.
Wow! so nice trip. Well, what month was that? I'm planning to trekking ABC this year so what month is the best one, do you have any idea please?
Awesome video series you are working on. Can’t wait to see the next parts. I stumbled across your videos preparing for a similar trip. We want to do the trip without a guide, but it seems like this is mandatory since a couple of months. How did you manage licenses and such?
Thank you! New episodes every Wednesday. Yes, they do require a guide now which is something I'll talk more about in the future. This trip we did was before the requirement so we only needed the permits to enter the park. Good luck on your adventure and have fun!
did you hike up the road with all the jeeps. Did they pass you a lot?
There are separate paths that you can take off the main road but some parts you can only take the jeep road. They will come by here and there but not an overwhelming amount.
Dal bhat power 24 hr
Did you meet eachother before the trek or during? :)
Before!
@@goodlifepursuer in a hostel?
I am trying to avoid the jeep path. Do you have a gpx file of your trek you would be able to share??? I want to do the local trek. So would I be able to get to Jomsom in 13 days???
I am doing this solo. Thank you in advance!
I believe that now they require you to have a guide for the whole route so when you do the trek they will show you the route. When we did it we didn't have a guide but that is no longer possible.
@@goodlifepursuer really??? I hope not, bc I am planning to do it solo, I don’t want to have a guide. I did 24 years ago, solo
@goodlifepursuer I just heard that the “mandatory guide” requirement is not implemented yet, so thankfully I can still trek it w/o a guide! I would most likely not go back to trek in Nepal is they make that change. Bc I like to do solo trips usually
Daal bhat power, 24 hours
To many permits I'll stay home.
Can you make one cinematic video of this travel as this video(th-cam.com/video/miZ3C0yUJws/w-d-xo.html ). I love cinematic progressive video rather than vlogs.
