People have such short memories. Not only did Slot take over a side that was challenging for the title until the final weeks of last season but Ten Hag took over a side with its lowest ever Premier League points total the season before he arrived. And a club in structural disarray that has undergone a massive leadership overhaul and transfer policy change since he arrived. Comparing Slot arriving at Liverpool to Ten Hag arriving at United is such a false equivalency.

Liverpool were challenging for the title last season until the final few weeks. The point is Slot took over a much better side and a club that is much more structured than Ten Hag did at United. These pundits are being incredibly lazy trying to equate Slot arriving with Ten Hag. It’s two totally different set ups.

ETH is only 3 years into a very long term project. Please remember that Alex Fergusson came into United in 1986 and by 1989 there was a large contingent of United fans and journalists who wanted him out after a bad start to that season but the board persisted and the rest is history. We can’t turn our backs on ETH when we are so close to getting it right

Casemiro has been a full time starter for the past two seasons until just several matches ago. Likewise, do you actually understand how transfers work? You need a willing buyer to actually facilitate the transfer. And do not blame Casemiro. United agreed to a contract with him and he’s under zero obligation to leave.
