Very well said. I am a big fan of Solar guitars and have bought several including the S model. I switched pickups as you pointed out and it’s a beast. It honestly plays as well as my more expensive models. Thanks for putting this out there. 🤘
Hey! Thank you so much for watching! 😁 glad to hear that you're enjoying the S by Solar, and got those pickups swapped. I'm going to do the same thing. I can't wait to see how much of a beast it is after the upgrades!
Thank you so much dude for the kind words, and enjoying my video! I can definitely say I was happy with the guitar overall. Once I get the tuners and pickups swapped I have a feeling it gonna be quite the awesome guitar!
With high gain and an E.Q to boost it, that could be a good workaround for the pickups. I've come across some testing that showed that Pickups don't change the sound that dramatically with those boosts.
I'll definitely give that a shot! And I agree that pickups don't really change the overall tone that much, but its more of the output I was having issues with. So boosting it would probably be my only option other than replacing them. Thank you so much for watching! 😁
Mine is the same, it sounded good and it is shielded. The only thing that i dont want is the fret wire, but once you change it to a stainless one then it will be awesome
Fun fact in case you didn't know...even the actual solar, that looks 99% same as this one showed in the video, and costs around 700e i think...doesn't have a stainless steel frets...so yeah, it's not really a minus point here
If you change the bridge pickup and put on locking tuners, you're probably around the same price range as a Harley Benton Amarok 7, which already has good pickups and locking tuners. Personally I think I'm gonna go with the S by Solar, because I like a fun project and it's such a great canvas (all blacked out, such a sick shape), also being able to pick my favorite PU and locking tuners makes it into a mini custom experience. But I just wanted to mention the Amarok if you DON'T want to switch anything out and just have a great out of box experience, it's super solid.
The Amarok is a great suggestion! I do have yet to check on of those out (even though I've checked out several Harley Bentons) Might be a good shootout video too. Thank you for the suggestion, and like you I love a good project as well haha Thank you so much for watching! 😁
I have 2 of the S guitars. One is unplayable and there is no way to contact them about an exchange or repair. It acts link the ground is bad…screams when plugged in. The other needed pickups and a good setup including fret polish
is the neck too thick? I am planing to get this one. I never had any electric guitar. My height is about 5.7. would it be any issue to play this guitar is the neck too thick for someone my height?
О хей, парень. Если эта гитара ещë у тебя, то попробуй отвëрткой подкрутить звукосниматели. Ты поднимешь их выше. Звук станет более сильным. Heavy metal greetings from russia .!..!
Hello! Thank you so much for the advice and for watching. I did end up doing that, but I'm still not quite sold on the output. I'll look into it some more 😁
First to change is pickups. This nickel frets if you play every day bay 1h will be dead in 8-9 months.Another thing you need to think about. And tuners.Does it is so cheep now?

Excellent review of a guitar I’ve questioned trying out.

So I've seen you swap pickups before, what kind of, if any, tuner changes would or could you make to improve that part of the guitar?

S by Solar or Schecter Omen 6?? Its a nice change to S by Solar or doesn't worth it?

Have you decided which pickups to buy for it? Also, are the headstock holes 10mm?

Whats with the earings???
Whats with the immature comment on other peoples personal style? Did your brain not develop past 4th grade level?
