  • Caravan Magazine teamed up with Maxview and Auto Additions to install an automatic caravan satellite dish on Dan Arnold's Elddis Crusader. Read our guide online here too: www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/car...
    Tyrone, from Auto Additions, is professional installer and installed a Maxview Target satellite dish on Dan's caravan roof. Setting up the roof mounted caravan satellite dish means Dan and his girlfriend, can now watch British TV from Spain, if they ever travel there!
    We recommend you use a professional installer, like Tyrone from Auto Additions, if you buy a caravan satellite TV system.
    The TV in the video is an Avtex 21 inch 9-series Pro 12-volt system.

    How many of you have a satellite TV dish on the roof of your caravan?

      CaravanTV we did have a mobile one but now free view signal is relatively strong everywhere now we’re just happy with the free view. Nice install though 👍🏻👍🏻😎

      Thanks for the reply Shadowz Shadowz, and it's good to know that you get such a good Freeview signal. If you ever travel to the continent, a satellite TV dish will be particularly valuable on your caravan. Thanks again! 😀👍

    Shouldn’t there be a rubber grommet in the hole on the roof where the cables in ?

      Good point. None was fitted at the time, but the installer used sealant aeound the unit on the roof to prevent water ingress.

      CaravanTV the point of a rubber grommet is to stop the wire rubbing on the metal roof , pretty basic stuff.

      We'll look through our footage. It might well have been fitted but just not shown in the video.

    Does this receive sky

      You'll need a Sky box to receive Sky.

      CaravanTV I think he meant ‘will the satellite dish be compatible with receiving Sky signals?’ Hope this cleared up any confusion.

    How much was that fitted?

    • @CaravanTV
      @CaravanTV  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Cliff,
      The price on the Maxview website for 85cm dish version shown in the video is £1599. There might be more for fitting, but the Auto Additions website sells a similar system to the Maxview for about the same price.
      I hope that helps. Regards, Will (Digital Editor)
