Congratulations on her win on 2021 Menuhin competition just a couple of hours ago and a well deserved win!! And who is here after her Menuhin win!?
Her performance of Maurice Ravel's piece was phenomenal!
She played these two works for the Tretyakov competition in October 2021 and won again!!!!
The Frank sonata was written for Ysaye who received it and performed it on his wedding day. It has a perfection which Frank never replicated. The second movement has menaced many a pianist. However this rendition is fabulous. Maria has a talent of distinction and we will all have a bundle of riches to enjoy from her in the future.
Thank you of this mention as I never realised this relationship between Franck and Ysaye

Any fine player of a musical instrument becomes one with the instrument as if the instrument is an extension of themselves. Ms. Duenas obviously is one with her violin, so the two become one and we the listeners benefit. I watched her play Bruch''s first concerto for violin a few minutes ago, and saw how much she enjoyed playing.
This sonata played by Maria is ethereal celestial closest to the soul there is romance there is pain there is request and promise.

Incredible, simply incredible playing. Poetry, expressivity, birth of music as it is played, impeccable instrument control - all is there.. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant violinist. Good luck to you! Hope to hear you more often!

P.S. The Franck sonata in Beethoven-Haus, Vienna. Brilliant choice, I just realized their lifespans overlap: little César-Auguste was 4 years old when Beethoven died. So finally they met, in spirit at least.

This Guarneri del Gesu 1736 Violin "Muntz" seems fit better to her than the Strad somehow. Both do her justice though. Love it!!! What a gift to the world!

@@jackburgess8579 You must be deaf, Jack. Her Franck Sonata is the best I've ever heard. She has outstanding mastery of both right-hand and left-hand techniques, remarkable for her age. I have yet to hear her let out a squeaking sound.

One cannot judge whether she is the best in her peer group by listening to her Franck Sonata. One has to compare all of her performances with those of the best of her peers!

I can give you fairly like for like comparisons with two of the very best of her peers, in which the gap is manifest.

@@jackburgess8579 But those are just Mozart's. I want to hear a Paganini. Besides, Chloe Chua is not a peer of Maria. Chloe (b. 2007) is a junior while Maria (b. 2003) is a senior among young violinists. Well, Chloe plays clean, and I think she can make it great.

Oh ! God gave you beautiful both arm , especially Franck's triplet music is so nice and juicy, thank you veryvery much. Asian people could not play triplet just as like you. I'm Japanese I don't know how to play triplet. So I can't play Franck's first movement.
