Old one is much better . Hrithik is not even near vijaysetupati . Vijay setupati is best in the Vikaram Veda

And from South industry - Dhanush , Vijay setupati ,Vikaram, Surya . All are my favourite and all are won indian's most prestigious national award .

I love the tamil version . Brilliant acting by Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi. That was true acting. There was no need for Hrithik to look that. If you watch Vijay Sethupathi. he was very calm but meant business.

The original version both cop and criminal have same screen space but in bollywood one it was Hrithik highlighted thats major difference
The main usp of the original film i believe was, showing the good guy madhavan with an arrogant over the top attitude, and the bad guy vedha vjs with calm and composed traits, which was different from the usual stuff we saw at that time. Even the shirt colur pattern of both leads had great significance, white and black initially and at last grey, like breaking Bad. You have already seen vjs in vikram as santhanam, and reacted to the trailer of one of his best films, super deluxe (must check this out if you live films like pulp fiction). You'll find a lot of gems in his filmography :)
in south India producers and directors are taking risks in money and career to give some new stories to the audience but in bollywood they take every success films and they investing money on in only for profit not for what audience want but sad thing is still bollywood audience is encouraging the remakes, the original vikram vedha budget is 11 crores and collection is 70 crores that is real success but the remake is 175 crores, but it still original looking good for me and many peoples🤷♂

There is no Tamil version. This is a Tamil film. It was frame to frame remade in Hindi. Hrithik is a good actor, but no comparison to Vijay Sethupathy, who is among the greatest contemporary actors of India. Indian audience must learn to appreciate films in its original form. This is an incredibly artistic film. Hrithik dancing with machine gun like Rambo spoils the true essence of this intelligent film

I love how you all are just trying to compare Hrithik's role with Vijay but not saif with r Madhavan when they are also the main characters. It's not trailer comparison. You compared Tamil trailer with hindi TEASER. Hindi trailer is out and out same as Tamil trailer. They even made that song in hindi with same tune.
Try to react "Ratchasan" Trailer. It's a tamil film which is also remake in Hindi. Watch both trailers and give your thoughts...
Watch Vijay Sethupathy in 96, Super Deluxe etc. to appreciate his range. You already saw him in Vikram.
For Madhavan this is a departure from his romantic roles.
Then watch first Koi mil gaya, KNPH, Dhoom 2, Jodha Akbar, Guzaarish, Super 30, War, Krishhh, Agneepath... Many more.. you will realize who is better and versatile actor.. even your VJ's having fan boy moment with HR.. DONT TEACH ACTING TO YOUR DAD.. 😀😁😁😁😀

12:30 the previous actor is Vijay Sethupathi who acted in the movie Vikram as the gangster leader with a huge family. You should watch his movie SuperDeluxe , 96, Naanum Rowdi , etc. He has a wide range of in terms of acting skills and picks different roles for movies.
17:30 Gangs of wassepur is not a remake but the director said on twitter that his movie was heavily inspired by the Tamil film "Subramaniapuram", which can explain why it is so gritty. Subramaniapuram is again a super hit film that was done with minimum cost so it looks so real and not fancy.

Tbh, I am a tamil and I loved the tamil version. But seeing the upgraded version of the Hindi movie, I m so pumped up for this Hindi version as it is grand, over the top and looks action packed. Plus the hindi version's song seems to be the perfect match with the bgm.

This is one of the best Indian movies ever made. It's very much tied to an indian folk lore, and seeing how the movie ties the folklore in is amazing. There is no good and evil in this movie, there is only evil and evil believes its good. The moral dilemma this movie presents is really interesting, considering indian audiences have been brought up to view cops killing the bad guys as the norm in movies. The actors, Vijay Sethupathi and Madhavan are among the best in India, and it would be interesting to see how Hrithik plays his part, it looks like his take on the character is a little more deranged.

In Indian music there are no genres per se ! There's classical music and there's music for movies . There's melodies or slow paced (expressing happiness or sadness etc ) and there's fast paced music (expressing excitement, action or adventure and then anger ) , it's basically classified based on tempo and rhythm and is used to invoke specific reaction from the audience . Then with more exposure to western content, there's a recently current segment called dance numbers or party music , for pubs and social functions , equivalent to EDM or house genres in the west or even rock or pop . And then there's an emergence of Indian rap and hip hop in the last decade or two . That's basically all the categories of music in Indian cinema . There are some regional standalone music niches like current Punjabi music for example but those are regional and not generally applicable for entire country as one .

Great! The genre of music is not particularly a separate one. More of an experimental voice, grungy, rock mixed with southern-style hymn and beats.
Although this was a comparison with a teaser(Hindi version), if compared with the Hindi trailer it would have been a bit over the top and more action-packed than the original version. The Tamil version is more grounded. Usually, most(90% of the movies) of the Hit re-makes from the south will be remade with a Bollywood formula and will absolutely suck at the box office and would come out terribly. But here same directors, Pushkar-Gayathri (married couple). The same guy sang in both Hindi and Tamil. So, you will get the same vibe.
Bollywood is trying very very hard to come out of the image of mass 6 pack, 946 guys beaten up in one punch, bikini-clad women, huge dance numbers, with a compulsory wedding dance number, and very low box office points. The directors and producers are reluctant to change that. This has been a huge problem for them. so very few grounded films come out from there.
I'm pretty sure these southern regional directors will change the format and also add a bit of "Bollywood masala" and push the industry in a new direction.

My thoughts too. Bollywood 🤔Westernized women scantily dressed . Men with 6 pack. No story movies. Glamour. All that is not impressing today's audience. They want good content. That's where South movies come in🤷♀️
945 guys beaten by one punch n navel focus of women is south indian masala film format , bollywood has been losing gear as they have been making realistic n biopic movies since dil chahta hai times. After covid, audiences want only entertainment n not lectures, so they started going to mass action films like RRR, KGF from South for entertainment. Vikram vedha directors didn't have the budget for big action scenes or starcast while making the original so they have added the same with remake

The story is based on an age old Indian tale called "Vikram Betal" in which a King named Vikram is tasked with capturing a zombie like creature called Betal, that hangs on a tree trunk. Every time he gets Betal on his shoulders, Betal tells him a story and a question regarding the story. If the king answers it correctly, Betal will escape to the same spot where they started, else remain in captivity. So this movie seems to include some moral dilemmas and emotions similar to this tale, where Vikram is the police officer and Betal is the goon he is hunting down. Saw a film of his recently where he is dating 2 women at the same time. 😶😶 The guy was just cringe. 🤐 Thank God the women were pretty(and decent actresses as well) otherwise it would have been a 2 hour nightmare for me in that cinema hall. Looked so out of place in the movie!
