Thanks for sharing that knowledge. I am originally from the Virgin Islands ( formerly Danish West Indies) and fascinated by this history.

I am from Benin in Nigeria, good to hear hear this history. There is so many group of people who reported that they ran from Benin kingdom. I can't imagine the cruelty they must have faced then. We all brothers and sisters in the end just that time and space denied us of this facts

Please listen to the narrator very well. He said the Ga originally migrated from Chami in EASTERN NIGERIA. Interestingly both Igbos and Gas believe they have some link with Israel.
I have never heard that Benin was part of Eastern Nigeria. It was from their homeland in Eastern Nigeria, they migrated to Benin kingdom and instead of being assimilated and accepted in Benin, they fled because of the cruelty of the Benin king and move further west via Ile Ife in Yoruba land.
They were maltreated because the Benin and their king (the Oba) and used for human sacrifice. Ultimately, we are all brothers and sisters. But the Ga did not begin their migration from Benin

Osu's true history is with La, also known as Labadi or WorDoku. To get the accurate history behind Osu people migration to their present location Osukoo or Ursuko, dating back from the sourjorn of Hebrews in ancient Egypt. Go to La. Osu were part of the La group that travelled down south from Egypt during the Exodus. Infact, the Gas came to this part of Ghana in four (4) separate groups. The first to leave Tongu which was in the Volta Region, and travelled by sea were the KroWors (Nungua). The next to follow was the WorKpele (Tema). Then came the turn of Ga Mashie (WorSagba) who also left in canoes. Last group of the four was the WorDoku (La). They travelled by land. That's how come at the settlement near Shai Hills the place was called OsuDoku then on the Shai hills proper it was called LaDoku. Two words boxed into one. Doku is another name for La. The Doku as in OsuDoku is a "surname" for Osu. The learned regent got his narrations wrong.

Indeed Akwamus invaded and destroy Ayawaso Kingdom but that's not the whole of Ga tribe. The first civilized kingdom in the whole of Ghana was Ayawaso kingdom by Ga(not all the game clans were in Ayawaso then ) .. Akwamus and Ga were like brothers, they trade in many things so Akwamus trusted their prince with Ga to go under training, he was later circumcised by the Ga. This brought up the war and it destroy the Ayawaso kingdom, The Mashie people fled from Ayawaso to Accra and Togo. Akwamus won because some of the clans within Gamashie were fighting against Okaikoi (Ga Mantse) and thats how Akwamus got upper hand over the Ga. No tribe have ever defeat the full force of Ga tribe. Ga together with Akyems destroyed Akwamus.

If osun migrated from eastern part of Nigeria so where did oduduwa came from? Now the story is clear that oduduwa is a Benin exile prince ekaladeran who later became a ruler in ile ife the Benin people recognized oduduwa and his origin, the obeneshimon festival that is celebrated in Ghana today by GA nungua people they said it means the day they left Benin kingdom, my sister try and visit the ga nungua people to confirm this man is not saying the truth, the ga nungua people spent more than hundreds years in the ancient city of great Benin empire, the first groups let Benin to ife while the second groups left Benin direct to present day Ghana Accra, it's the second group that led by gbolomo that founded the nungua kingdom the man is a chief priest the overlord, after a period of time the first group that left Benin to ife later migrated to Accra it's the second group that left Benin to Accra that created lands for the second groups to settle. The name ile ife came into existence when the Benin kingdom exile prince ekaladeran came to ife, before he came to ile ife they were aboriginal people there which are not yorubas by ancestry tribes like elajes, aworis, ikale, ugbo

Interesting are ours. To correct the word it is spelt Orsu pronuonced Osu. Many might think that Osu people mean outcast. The virgins held for the Di ala for marriage. I did not see this ritual happen with virgins but i know that in the olden days they bury heads with kings. Ask why? It is like today we hear from the priest about purlgatory, heaven and hell same were told to the slaves and madien that when the king dies he goes to heaven and would need their service to last longer. Imagine the lies about Egypt these, are part of the real Egyptians see the extention of the Igbo.

@@mariopuzzo5854 obviously your main gripe is the fact that Ga people are ancient Hebrews.
Look buddy, Igbos are not the only ancient Hebrews on the West African coast. The Ewes who were part of the ancient Dahome empire and the Yoruba people were also part of the migration.
The tribes of Israel fled and dispersed into Africa. Some went down South but the majority went into West Africa.
That is why Ghana's history books have Ga people migrating from Ile Ife in Nigeria. That was the spiritual home for the Hebrew settlers Ga, Yoruba and Dahome.
It's possible that this group may have been part of the larger Bantu group.

@@mariopuzzo5854 ask yourself why European found so much success slave trading along the West African coast especially from present day Ghana to Nigeria. They knew most of the people being traded where settlers, Nomads, Hebrews. The Europeans were in business with Original African tribes who were already there in those lands. Some of those original African tribes were capturing the settlers and selling them off.
Why do you think the Ashanti Kingdom became so powerful in those days?
