Malcolm - I dont ride it that hard to be honest, I just enjoy the low down torge it produces, and of course that glorious sound. Hoping to post up another longer ride later this year as the bike has had a few upgrades since I made this video. It now has a decent fornt brake and a set of Jim Lomas expansion chambers amongst others.
The biggest difference is the low down torque. The H2 is a lot more torquey - you can almost ride it like a 4 stroke, the KH just does not have that bottom end. The KH is also a lot smoother than the H2. Each have their own merrits. I would be quite content to have another KH500, or even 400 which is supposed to be the best of the lot. Having said all that the H2 is a lot of fun to ride.
@@bikebloke5570Just done this ride with you again. Cider at the end huh... Love hearing those fins resonating. £829 to buy one new when I was at that age but did not... I always adored the 350 S2 in red. Just noticed your Spring on the H2B. Gonna have a squizz. Have you watched the French bloke on the blue H2? Monsieur!
Just can not work out why they use up so much gas. Unburnt down the exhaust? Do not need to rev the knackers off it to get away; not exactly heavy either so why I say? My GT750 was dreadful but... Have you done the KH500 ride on this one yet BikeBloke?
My H1 500 Mach IIIwas capable of 50 mpg, but the way I rode it back in the 70's, (in Montana, no speed limit then) 20mpg was closer to the norm. Two strokes can put out tons of power, but that requires a lot of gasoline.
Gabriele Back in the day top speed was reckoned to be 120MPH. Nothing compared to a modern sportsbike. But then again a modern bike does not have the character these old bike have...........
@@TheSmartbear1 Quite like the Fosse Way, but dont ride it that often. I tend to ride up around and on top of the Mendips, the roads are a bit quieter up there.
Dont know why a lot of people seem to think if you own a 2 stroke you have to ride it like an idiot. I had this H2 for about 7 years and only wheelied it few times. I have had every variation of Kawa Triples over the year, and ride them sensibly.
That engine sounds nice & crisp.
The throttle was just waiting to be opened up.
I love Kawasaki triple's , greatest bike ever
SLOW
< changes down and accelerates >
Love it!

Do you miss the 'refined' KH at all?
The Somerset highways commission sure like a lot of white paint...

Middle cylinder problems constant
1975 kawasaki 750 fastest motorcycle i have ever driven 135mph on i 95.
Larry - did not wind it up at all in the video, in fact I dont ride it that hard, mainly because like me it is pretty old !!
If the front wheel ain't in the air ot dont count. Putting around if your scared sell it.

Gt250a or RD 250 OR 400
Hornet 400
Sounds a lot smaller then an H2
No - definatley an H2.
R U STILL ALIVE DUDE?
Very much so - sold the H2 last year and now have a KH 400 which I am restoring. Just cant get enough of Kawasaki Triples!
The engine does not even start to run until you hit 5500 RPM's That was a very sedate ride.
Yep very sedate.
Well it does seem a tad damp out.🎉
Shame no engine sound
AFakkoo63 Sorry about last comment I thought you were having a laugh until I released some people can't get sound on this video clip, I can hear it!!
