Those who sell LNG can sell it much cheaper if they have contracts for 10-20 years, but the EU wanted spot prices as well. It is also a very bold move to build a pipeline through a country split into pieces, ruled by terrorists. If they manage to stabilize the country, good for them. Hence, I believe we should not expect any pipeline there in the next 10 years.

Pipeline gas sent to a power plant for electricity generation is also one of the cleanest and environmentally friendly. Converting to LNG for export turns a clean energy source into one of the dirtiest...and drove up the price domestically to the point of industry closures. So, your sentiment is absolutely correct.

The thing I don't hear about is don't sanctions basically just firewall the Oligarchs profits in the country . They can no longer send the cash to tax havens ,buy super yachts , High end properties in western cities . 3. Many Western companies did NOT leave Russia but stayed and are doing business as usual. No wonder Western sanctions have no effect.
4. Also, all of the global south have NO sanctions on Russia and are doing more and more business with Russia.

Situation is looking increasingly dire for Russia. Ukraine continues to inflict massive losses on Russia for arguably minor advances, an remember this even less significant in a war of attrition. Some might even argue that it doesn't matter. And they are still a looooooong way from Kyiv. This war isn't even started yet, and the Russian economy continues its descent. There is no way the Ukraine people will let themselves be enslaved by Putin again.

I think the biggest problem for the US and the West in general is improper immigration - Muslim and (for the US) South American immigrants are gradually altering the West’s mentality; it the US it is already more like a Spanish one rather than sn Anglo-Saxon protestant one.
