Dress code is so, unreasonable. Like boys can go around wearing muscle shirts and it’ll be fine. But the second a girl wears a shirt with a strap smaller than a credit card they get in trouble. But girls not being able to wear what they want, is so dumb. Have any of y’all noticed that MALE teachers usually dress code you? One time a few years ago, a male volleyball coach hid in the locker room while me and my volleyball team changed. Then when he came out of hiding, he told my best friend to “work out, flab doesn’t look good on you.” And he ofc got fired, but that is just one of the many examples that male teachers/coaches are usually the creepy/distracted ones. Not the male students. Teenage girls should be able to wear what they want. For littler kids, yes I understand why they can’t wear shirt skirts and noodle straps, but TEENAGE girls trying to express themselves through clothes is bad?! But yes, boys showing their nipples is okay.

girls at my (christian) school got dress coded for wearing leggings but the justification we were given was that it enhanced their butts too much so it was indecent or whatever. They were still allowed to wear shorts though.

Dress code is so, unreasonable. Like boys can go around wearing muscle shirts and it’ll be fine. But the second a girl wears a shirt with a strap smaller than a credit card they get in trouble. It’s not like straight men will go around being like “mm shoulders and knee caps”. Yes, some boys are attracted to small straps and short skirts/shorts. But girls not being able to wear what they want, is so dumb. Have any of y’all noticed that MALE teachers usually dress code you? One time a few years ago, a male volleyball coach hid in the locker room while me and my volleyball team changed. Then when he came out of hiding, he told my best friend to “work out, flab doesn’t look good on you.” And he ofc got fired, but that is just one of the many examples that male teachers/coaches are usually the creepy/distracted ones. Not the male students. Teenage girls should be able to wear what they want. For littler kids, yes I understand why they can’t wear shirt skirts and noodle straps, but TEENAGE girls trying to express themselves through clothes is bad?! But yes, boys showing their nipples is okay.

Honestly, I can never tell what’s worse. Being dress coded multiple times for the smallest things, or being forced to wear an outfit with no expression.

you know I have stretch marks on my back part of the thigh and I usually don't wear shorts as I feel uncomfortable but I do love one-piece dresses and one time I was harrased when I was going to tuition wearing a one-piece and it was also long enough to cover my knees but my tuition teacher was like hey boys will be boys you should know how to behave it pains me and most of the girls that I know ( it's my thoughts regarding dress coding so I'm not targeting anyone so please don't take any offense ) i feel very very uncomfortable if I wear a short and people look at me like that I escaped from a zoo or something
