I love Spock's Brain. Take a look at the sequence whee Kirk and Scott disarm the girl of her weapon - it's perfect. I also like Spock's sociology lecture at the end when he had had his brain restored.
This episode is not bad actually intriguing, somewhat solid episode. The worst episode they had was the space hippies episode, garbage. Only good thing in there is finding out one female hippie member was an ex-girlfriend of Chekhov. ( Not to mention when the hippie leader eats a poisonous apple and dies, that was pretty good comedy.) Lol.
I have always liked this episode, it has always reminded me of Forbidden Planet(1956).

I know that this episode gets a lot of crap but I have always had a fondness for Spock's Brain.

P.S. The schism that happens on that planet between males and females actually seems somewhat plausible nowadays.
If it would have been played comedically, maybe it would have worked. The premise is too stupid to be taken seriously and played straight though.
