I am brand new to cardmaking and I saw a "bow maker" for sale that looked like a hair pick you used. I was going to try and figure out how to use my hair pick and here you are helping me a lot. I am new to using TH-cam to look for instructions and am thankful for this help. Now to find a cardmaking idea I found last night. So glad you show pix of the finished product most of the time as it makes looking easier

I got a pick today and I made one with the chevron ribbon, and I made it one tine bigger than you suggested on here, and it turned out gorgeous!! You have solved my bow making issue. I could not tie a decent looking bow to save my life. You are such an inspiration!! Thank you so much.

Thank you for this video of just the bow only. This was easy to follow and you took some time with instruction which made it better for me than the X-mas ornament with the bow. Loved it!

Hi Karen and thank you for your lovely comment. The length of your ribbon depends on how big you want it and how big your bow is going to be. For this one I did it with 14" of ribbon. Let me know if you have any other questions. Deb wwww.stampladee.stampinup.net for all your shopping needs.
Hi Deb, Thanks for a great video! Can you show how to make the bow using satin ribbon where all the loops have the smooth satin side showing? (I might be doing it wrong, but in the double bow one loop is always backwards.)
lindales Hi Lindales....I'm not sure I understand what you are asking. Satin Ribbon is the same on both sides. ?? Let me know if I'm not thinking of the same ribbon. Let me know. deb www.stampladee.com for all your shopping needs.
Deb Valder HI. Thanks for the speedy reply!!! I got this ribbon at WalMart and maybe this ribbon is not as high quality, because one side has a satin sheen, but the other side is dull and a little textured. So I am wondering how to do the bow with any ribbon that isn't the same on both sides so that all loops show the "right" side. Is it even possible?
lindales Ohhhhhhh...okay there is a way but it's going to be hard to explain. When you start to wrap the ribbon, you need to keep twisting it so it is on the "right" side. When you just twist it so it's satin side up, just continue like you would the rest of the way. If you have any other questions, let me know. deb www.stampladee.com for all your shopping needs.
Thank you so much Gabby. I'm glad it helped. I am no longer with Stampin' Up, I'm now with a new company called Fun Stampers Journey. If you have any questions, let me know! deb www.funstampersjourney.com/debvalder for all your shopping needs.
roberta mahar Hi Roberta, the length of ribbon I use is about 7". You may want to start with a longer piece (10") when you are first starting out. If you have any questions, let me know. Deb wwww.stampladee.stampinup.net for all your shopping needs.
philanna38 Philanna38, for a DOUBLE bow it's doubled - about 14". If you have any questions, let me know. deb www.stampladee.com for all your shopping needs.
