100% agree, saw Mills at the Orbit in the mid 90s and the whole place was rocking. Sweaty, t-shirts - no posers, just people losing it completely. How I came out alive I'll never know.
Ain't that the fucking truth, folk nowadays stand in the same spot and lift their hands a wee bit, when I heard tunes likes this folk got out of my way if they didn't want limbs in and around them, they would even create wee circles around folk getting mad with it and clap them and get into it themselves.

looks like a theater.... i think the acoustic was perfect.... when jeff Mills play like this, it is because the sound is perfect for him... and nobody on earth is better tester than him for acoustic... he play with no headphones...
I saw him at Movement and he played with headphones. Never seen a skinny theater with a cutout like that for an entrance. I think it's a side room with stadium seating, probably in some convention space.

Saw him live at a local show in Atlanta. This was maybe 2013-14. You do NOT interrupt this man when he's playing a set. He's got all the CD-J's going and one of the speakers is off in some way. The sound tech tried to talk to him, he was not happy. Good show. He gets totally immersed in his sets.

Nobody like mills he brings the equipment for few djs. Detroit is the craziest city i have ever seen. Underground parties are unreal. Went there a couple of times (01,02) for DEMF.. Pure music no flashy shit like Miami, Ibiza etc. Awesome sound system, warehouse, turntables on plywood, one bathroom for m and f,. Ludilooo
