- Terry Bradshaw in his second season leading a young Steelers team. This was at the time one of the most successful Steelers teams in a decade.

Classic love seventies football especially the MIGHTY STEELERS
Love this. Don’t see a lot of videos of the team ascending, with some but not quite all the pieces in place. Must have been an exciting time to have been a fan!
Steeler fans probably didn't realize it at the time though because they had been so futile for so long.
6:18 mark . . .Tucker Fredrickson was a pretty big guy and to see him stop in his tracks and fall backwards after hitting Joe Greene . . .WOW . .
1971 was another pre-dynastic year for the Steelers. Routinely that season, the pregame and halftime entertainment provided more satisfaction than the game itself.
You could see PIT showing glimpses of what they would become.
But there were moments like the Dave Smith MNF fumble that showed they weren’t quite ready yet.
Moving closer to championship level especially on defense
thanks classic ........james below is right on the money .......al;ways gave tthe browns trouble in the sixties
ey ......
Within 2 years the whole running and receiving corps nearly had changed all its personnel.
1971 was still the " Same Old Steelers"
In the season opener, two teams dressed in black and white turned each other, black and blue!
Why didn't the Steelers bring back their "all white" unis?
