With ONEWE, since all the members compose, you never know what you are going to get. CyA tends to write more "experimental" songs like End of Spring, Q, Trauma, and Veronica. Kanghyun loves the ambient space style, and writes songs like AuRoRa, Parting, Rain to Be, and Regulus. Yonghoon loves the soulful soft rock ballads, Universe, Star, A book in Memory. Harin and Dongmyeong haven't released enough songs for me to pin point them musically, but I've loved what I've heard from them that for sure.
In end of Spring they had the participation in the mv from ONEUS, Purple Kiss and My favorite female soloist ALEXA; check her out if you haven't, you will love her. She was the one with long blonde hair with piggy tails. I personally love REVOLUTION where she does her own action stunts.
With other idol groups, dance practices are super fun. For Onewe, the acoustic versions of songs are just amazing. The comments here about a guide are all spot on for a choice. Because I love Yonghoon so much I likely ame drawn to the music he writes-- Reminisce About All, A Book in Memory, Universe. But really there is always something I love about every song. Don't forget they have some of the best covers out there as well
For something completely different: Onewe's Kanghyun and Harin's *"ONEWE(원위) 하린, 강현 'Flower Dance' COVER"* and *"ONEWE(원위) 하린, 강현 'River Flows In You' COVER"* are both beautiful.
I heard they wanted to add addicting line in the song so they put egg part that is kind of a Korea culture(?). Egg selling truck drives all the alley with that rhythm and sentence in Korea! We grew up on that music;)
fun fact! in their most recent album PLANET NINE: VOYAGER, all of the members have included their own written songs in the albums! They have written many songs before, but this is the first time that all of their songs which they took the lead in composing and etc, got to be included! In addition, each of them create and record their own parts (guitar, drums, piano, vocals, etc) and then synthesize them together! So for example, one member is done recording the drums, another member can go along with that recording and be guided while playing their guitar, piano or vocals!
in 'end of spring' MV there was ONEUS dancing and soloist Alexa dancing Edit: you should react to their other songs like 'a book in my memory', 'trauma'. 'reminisce about all'
Onewe's space themes originated with Regulus which Kanghyun wrote inspired by The Little Prince. Space is something that really interests him so he's continued to write a lot of songs with it as a central theme, and now other members have joined on the fun and started writing space songs as well! So it's an identity they've naturally developed over time vs Oneus' which was a little more manufactured. 'Us' is very close to the Korean pronunciation of the English word "earth" so fans were given the name ToMoon hence the heavy lunar imagery in Oneus' lore all the way down to some releases coinciding with the actual phases of the moon. Wild how in the course of three years both groups independently from each other developed celestial identities and themes in their work. Brother groups indeed.
Thank you for checking out Onewe again!! They do have a lot of songs related to space! It all started with Kanghyun... He wrote Regulus drawing inspiration from "The little prince". Since he is really interested in space and the song was quite well received, he kept writing songs about it and they've become the "Space Series". Honestly they now have a lot of these songs (and even the other members started writing about it): Regulus, Parting, Aurora, Cosmos, Star, Universe, Orbit... 😅 Anyways!! I'm glad you are enjoying Onewe's content and I look forward to your next video!!!
also not space theme named songs have star/universe/etc lyrics too) I love that for example veronica, envision, (parting as well, Korean name of it is space themed tho), intro to "planet nine: alter ego" with spaceship thing going on yeah
onewe's music is definitely food for my soul, there's just something about it that hits straight to the feels. also, they're on a whole another level when performing fully live. they obviously live up to the rbw live vocal standards and yonghoon especially is a phenomenal live singer (which i'm sure is not a surprise) but in addition to that, their songs just come to life when they perform with live instruments as well. about the space themes, others have already explained where onewe's space theme stems from but as for oneus, their name in korean sounds like "one earth" pronounced as koreans would pronounce it and so their fandom name is called to moon - hence the moon thematics.
There’s actually a relay for End of Spring! It’s super fun and cute but ofc with onewe being a band it’s their only relay. You should definitely check it out! It’s super cute! Lol
Oneus and Onewe have co-ed songs. You can check them too. Both groups are so talented. Love them. You are right about Yonghoon being an angel, because he is one for me. I can listen to his voice all day and wont get tired of it.
Wait, didn't you notice ONEUS as special guests in the End of Spring MV? Oh, ok, you are just starting to know the boys. Fun Fact: the singer AleXa is also a special guest in this MV, partying with the RBW boys. And speaking of ONEUS, you should check out ONEWE and ONEUS coed songs like Stay or Last Song (both have MVs).
Just watching these reactions again... Please react to Q ft Hwasa, their Latata, Hip, and Twit covers, and their dance cover of 2pm's Heartbeat! I love your reactions and they have so much more for you to listen and watch.
Thank you so much for reacting again to ONEWE. AuRoRa is also my favorite song from them, together with Universe, Star and A Book In Memory. For End Of Spring, there is actually a Rock Version that I prefer over the regular Version.
When i was watching your first reaction to ONEWE it felt like the first time I came across them. Goosebumps all over my body, excitement and just pure joy. Aurora was THE song that made me fall for them. I got teary eyed as if it was the first time I'd listen to it Thank you for sharing your experience and for wanting to get to know them better
End of spring was written by RBW's head PD Kim Do Hoon, so I think this explains why it contains such a different vibe and atmosphere from their other released songs. The eggs part was written by Cya though. He explained that it's a pun, playing the words "egg" and "season" because they sound very similar in Korean. Also because the retro vibe of the melody made him think of egg traders hawking their eggs in the streets in the old days.
Yes more k-band appreciation. I do really love ONEWE. When I got into kpop, FT Island was killing it and CNBlue debuted. So if you are interested in gen2 k-bands I'd check them out. My personal favorite is N.Flying. I cannot wait for the day to see them live. ONEWE though really pulled me in last year along with the band Lucy. Hope to see some more k-band reactions!
Onewe is wonderful, I love their concept and style, more emotional, cosmic, Beautiful. Regulus and Parting as my favorite. Day6 os another band amazing you should react too.
You have to check their cover when you have the time. I listened to Latata and just fell to the Onewe hole, the cover is very addicting 👌 And all of their live band/vocal only/ accoustic ver. are all LIT 🔥
Aww you're back so quickly with another ONEWE reaction! That makes me so happy. You're definitey a Weve in the making haha, welcome welcome. End Of Spring is my favorite maybe BECAUSE it's so different. It's just an instant mood lifter and I love turning it up loud and dancing around to it in my room. Also, and I think you were thiiiiiisclose to noticing it too but then didn't lol, ONEUS are actually in the video! As are pre-debut (at the time) Purple Kiss and soloist AleXa. The video is just good vibes all around. And yes, they do write their own music and they do write a lot about space. Actually, if you rewatch these, I would highly recommend paying attention to the lyrics more, because these guys are POETS, I swear. So often I look at their lyrics and think.. oh my god, I have never heard this feeling expressed in this way. They're geniuses and I love them very much and I'm glad you do too :)
Hey RJKPOP 🤗 I also recommend LUCY (theres a violonist and the mix with a band is exquisit )and The Rose ( what would you imagine what a pop rock band would be but on a next level) as Kbands and I cant wait for you to react to more of ONEWE of course.. i feel like they have lowkey Pansori technics ( tradditional/folk music) to some of thier songs you can hear it more in End of spring its really cool and different!!
COOOOL!!! Regulus was my first listened song from them 😍. That time, I just fell in love with all of them🥰. My first impression was great. For me, their songs are just amazing. I really enjoyed it. Thank you so so much for this.
thank u for another reaction, was very excited about it, but due to different time zones I couldn't this time watch it as it came out( yeah, onewe is self producing group for example out of these songs: regulus - kanghyun (guitarist) created it based on "the little prince" book end of spring - cya parting - kanghyun, based on his dream about an asteroid falling on the earth star - yonghoon (him with blonde is my religion) when I say "this is * member's * song, I mean that this member took a lead in creating, but other members do help in arranging, lyrics etc, as well as rbw producers if u want to check out the guide, I recommend u "1 band, 5 members, many reasons to love them" by ollie 0094 it's a lil bit outdated (mostly in the parts where it says dongmyeong's and harin's songs are not released yet cuz guess what? they have their songs released now, yeah!) but it does a great job introducing onewe, the best guide out there in my opinion I won't give more info cuz I think other weves already have bcuz I'm kinda late to the party
Thank you so much for checking out more of ONEWE's music! They are so talented but not super well known, so it always makes me happy to see new people discovering their music. And I hope that through your reaction, even more people will learn about them! ONEWE has absolutely amazing B-sides and also really cool covers, but if you want to focus on their own songs (and limited to ones with MVs), I'd recommend Reminisce About All (their debut, really shows off Yonghoon's vocals), 0&4, Ring On My Ears, and either Cosmos or Orbit_ (the last two are MVs for the acoustic versions). But for your own personal enjoyment, I definitely recommend checking out B-sides like Eraser, Trigger_, and Love Me! And since you mentioned loving the "oooo's" in Star, I think you'd enjoy From_, which is full of beautiful harmonies and "ooo's". Regarding the space theme, Kanghyun (guitarist) began it with his song Regulus. He has an interest in space, so he continued to explore that theme, and I guess the fans liked it and it resonated with other members as well, so now quite a few of their songs (including Universe_ and Star, which were written by Yonghoon) tie into the space theme. In terms of a guide, Ollie 0094's Onewe Guide is probably the best one out there! It's slightly out of date-it mentions that two of the members haven't released songs that they composed yet, but as of January 2022 they have-but it does an excellent job of summarizing the formation of the band, and highlighting each members talents (and their personalities as well). I'd love to see you react to it! :)
Getting into Onewe, I was thinking : "Wow! I've never seen anyone do this like them.". Their variety of genres was incredible just on their first album : got a jazz song like Q (feat. Hwasa from Mamamoo), actual pop with End of Spring (feat. a lot of people in the MV), anime intro with Crazy Good (reimagining of an already existing Oneus song that was produced by Cya.). It was like an adventure every song. I can't seem to be as hype as everyone else about Aurora. I love it, but I don't get why everyone loves it SO much. I'd say Parting is probably my favorite, generally. If you want to watch more MVs and witness Yonghoon's talent, you should check out their debut rock ballad Reminisce About All. Instrumentals are really striped back and vocals are the main focus. They have really good b-sides too. One of my faves is Cya's composed Ring On My Ears from their first full album (plus it has a MV :) ). It's a bit more rock and rap heavy, but I just generally love Cya's songs. Also, if you like the members, at some point you should check out Oneus' and Onewe's WeUs songs (Last Song and Stay, both songs include the whole 11 of them). I don't personnally love these songs (they sound like watching a teenage movie), but it's so worth watching the MVs just to see all the boys together.
11:45 In eggs on here, "Egg" is pronounced 'Gyea ran" in Korean. At this time, in the next lyrics, "Season" is pronounced "Gyea jeol," so you can say it was written to rhyme! And in Korea, a long time ago, an egg seller said, "The eggs are here," so it could be a laugh code. (Korean passing by.
are u sure tho? as far as I remember it's a reference to the eggsellers that used to go out to the streets and shout "eggs are here" to sell these and maybe this happened like towards to the end of spring
I _have_ to recommend a certain live performance of End of Spring, from an episode of M Countdown: th-cam.com/video/i0jjvxEQz5o/w-d-xo.html It's probably best watched in your own time or on Patreon, but you absolutely _must_ check it out when you can... 😁 And for those of you who know which performance this is, don't spoil it, guys..! 😜 I don't think I've seen anyone else mention it, but Parting is based on a recurring dream that Kanghyun (the guitarist whose name you couldn't remember) has where the Earth is destroyed by an asteroid. It basically poses the question: If you knew that _everyone_ was about to die, what would you want to be the last thing you said to your loved ones? I'm gonna recommend the Ollie 0094 guide that Helen linked below. It may not be the most up to date, but it does an incredible job of showing you just what these boys are about.
Yasss! I'm so happy that you decided to check them out again. Everything they do is so good (I'm a bit biased 😅). Their music gives you the feels. Gets you deep down in your soul. 🥺 I'm looking forward to seeing more of them on your channel!
Jonghyun, Taemin and Yonghoon my personal top 3 vocalists! No one makes me feel the way they do with their voices! So happy you continue with Onewe! If you are interested please check out this guide it's really really good: m.th-cam.com/video/-FhuXmY-4MQ/w-d-xo.html I think when it comes to MVs or songs that have a music video kind of clip these are the ones you still have to react to: Reminisce About All: m.th-cam.com/video/xGClAPu4eic/w-d-xo.html A Book In Memory: m.th-cam.com/video/TdaNbo8lm58/w-d-xo.html Q ft. Little fun fact Yonghoon did that highnote in Star all in one take and he was very proud of himself as he should be! Best. Vocalist. Ever!
where did he said that?
@@aliciapark6241 It was in a live they did if I can find the link ill send it

Thank you for reacting to more Onewe. Can't wait to see more! 🙏
The eggs are how Korean egg vendors used to sell eggs during that season. Did you see purple kiss, and Oneus in end of Spring.

I don't think I've seen anyone else mention it, but Parting is based on a recurring dream that Kanghyun (the guitarist whose name you couldn't remember) has where the Earth is destroyed by an asteroid.
PLEASE react to a guide for them!! The best one is the one that '' Onewe Guide | One band, five members, many reasons to love them! by Ollie 0094 ''
Yasss! I'm so happy that you decided to check them out again. Everything they do is so good (I'm a bit biased 😅). Their music gives you the feels. Gets you deep down in your soul. 🥺 I'm looking forward to seeing more of them on your channel!
PLEASE WATCH THEM LIVE! It will hit you different in another level.
'Regulus' lyrics reminds me of 'The Little Prince'.
Yes, the guitarist (Kanghyun) wrote it inspired by 'The Little Prince'!
@@tta2982 omg it's actually is about it. Thank you for letting me know!
Jonghyun, Taemin and Yonghoon my personal top 3 vocalists! No one makes me feel the way they do with their voices!
So happy you continue with Onewe! If you are interested please check out this guide it's really really good: m.th-cam.com/video/-FhuXmY-4MQ/w-d-xo.html
I think when it comes to MVs or songs that have a music video kind of clip these are the ones you still have to react to:

A Book In Memory: m.th-cam.com/video/TdaNbo8lm58/w-d-xo.html

I would also recommend to check out covers of other songs they did because they always do an amazing job of rearranging the songs!
It reminds A-HA don't you think so?
