I’m not sure if it’s because I missed Unus Annus or if it’s because I watched Heist the weekend prior to the second part’s release, but I knew it was Darkiplier from the moment I heard the voice. I was shocked when Mark said a lot of people thought that was Mark from Annus… 🤷♂️

Mark explained that Space had the one only true ending. Unlike Heist, this one worked because it wasn’t a bunch of stories, it’s just one. In fact, both the first encounter with Old Man Mark in the Deli and some other videos that you missed by making the decisions you made, gave you the hints that the right final choice was to “Hold on”. Old Man Mark: Tell me not to use the warp core and tell me “I can’t go back” = To not let Mark go in the end and also: There was a third option to pop up near the very end in the bomb defusing video: “Mark, you can’t go back”. You missed it cuz you chose one of the other two choices right after it popped up. There’s also this video with Lady finally realizing that we weren’t the cause to the wormhole, and saying that one should always hold on to hope
Plus the VERY BEGINNING in Part 1: Mark says as you enter the cyrotube... "Captain..whatever happens...absolutely DONT....." we need know he was gonna say "Don't let go.."
I figured it out because the whole reason the world went broke was because we kept going back in time and trying to fix our mistakes. Hold on and break the cycle, stop trying to go back and move forward. I genuinely got emotional on my first playthrough because if how seamless the story was. Genuinely glad I went in blind
Yep Mark even explain to us why there only one ending. "The crystal does more than just make wormhole,... it briged all of the universes together". So no matter what you choose, you will always end up at the warp core. It's destiny. Also Mark said "You always make mistakes but only a handful of choices that really matter" which is a nice foreshadow to the 2 final choices
49:15 this is how you tell if the player is paying attention or not. Old man Mark implies that this is where everything went wrong in the first place. And earlier in part 1 there is evidence that you let go in a previous loop. If you pay very close attention you know that letting go is the worst possible choice here.
I liked watching this TH-camr playing but it felt like he wasn’t really taking much in and just kept making the most damaging choices (causing more paradoxes etc)

I let go and I honestly don't know why. I knew that it was the wrong choice I shouldn't have let go. But mark's pleads made me choose the other option.
Dawko, you absolutely have to watch A Heist with Markiplier. It's just as good as this one and actually has over 30 endings for you to get, unlike this one that only had a couple. Also, the character at the end was another one of Mark's alter egos. If you want some context on who they are, you should watch Who Killed Markiplier.

this series has one of the best OST's i've heard Edit: a good chunk of the Sci-Fi songs can be found on Liquid Cinema like Arcturus (trailer song) and Electron Field (Warp Core Theme) as well as a few others, The Gregory Brothers did the Last Goodbye and a Orchestra Version of Space is Cool that has a good bit of the other bits mixed into it

Actually, Dawko , there's a lot of positives to giving this a second try from the start. There's a whole story arc with other characters , other crazy animation , more Eggs , more music. The fact that fans have directly tied in scenes from Date , Heist , Who Killed Markiplier , Markiplier Tv , Warfstache etc just shows how clever this guy really is ... And I've no doubt he , Amy and his mates and cast would sign you and Ryan up in a microsecond. AND OF COURSE I COULD LOOK AT THE MENTAL EDITING OF THIS ALL DAY LONG - just an excellent 👍 job.

It's funny people kept forgotten the hint that old Mark said, "Don't let me go on the warp core". Meanwhile every choice i did, that line never leaves me. Just interesting that a lot of people that i watched forgot that line.

Yeah, it clicked for me, but I thought there’d be some choice at like the beginning of the loop again. So I forgot momentarily until it sent me back into part 1, and once I was back to Old Mark in Part 2, I remembered! It felt better to me to experience it that way though, though forgetting wasn’t intentional since I went different routes! It’s just that moment you don’t know what will happen if you trust Young Mark totally or if you hold on and he’ll try to kill you or something. A magnificent experience! Game, Movie, Series! It’s the best!

when I heard "space was so cool" I got so much nostalgia at once, mark is a literal legend and he has a special place in my heart with dawko and others
mark's storywriting and acting has gotten absolutely stunning. you can tell there was so much love put into this project and i'm so happy for everyone involved in it for such a job well done. the true ending and mark's singing especially had me in tears.

that's Darkiplier at the end. i highly suggest watching markiplier tv, a date with markiplier, who killed markiplier, jim news, wilford motherlovin warfstache, then heist and then a summary for the entire experience or something. it needs to be done in this order i think to understand the lore behind the guy in the white suit. anyway, i enjoyed watching this and i honestly just want to see more!

aaa i’m so happy you did part two!! the ‘hold on’ ending was the first ending i got when going through the entirety of this adventure (i waited for part 2 before even starting part 1) and it made me emotional too lmao. this series is so awesome i’m glad multiple people are going through it and showing their experience
Technically the 'Hold On' ending is the only ending to "In Space with Markiplier" part 1 & part 2, since the other choice only resets to part 1, it isn't actually an ending.

Thank you for going back to watch the good ending. ISWM is so beautiful and heartwrenching. I remember when I was going through to find all the different paths and videos I was avoiding choosing "Let go" bc I knew it was the wrong choice. It was genuinely so hard to let go and it was heartbreaking watching him be whisked away and seeing the universe restart where it all began. Mark really made something incredible and I'm so thankful he gave it to us for free. I can't wait to see what other crazy stuff he makes in the future. Thanks for playing it!!

I love that the universal reaction to part 2 is generally: "What the hell?!" for a loooong time. This one is sooo wild, but super amazing. Just all of it. But also the end, it is just so amazing. And hey, you got MatPats part on first go through, so yay for that. That was one of the very last paths I got because I impulsively went right instead of left. AND Space Theory, AND Space was so cool. Such a hauntingly beautiful piece. Truly an amazing path you picked there. Also always so happy to see HeeHoo back. Again, that end is just such a punch in the gut. It is emotional, Engineer Mark being this done with you, him being this assertive for once was just hard. He trusted us and then he just doesn't anymore. I was so hurt. And then he just collapses once he realizes he was wrong and we aren't the bad guys in this. I wanted to hug the guy so badly. Never wanted to hug any version of Mark more I think, then the Engineer in that specific moment. Like, the moment he looks at you and says 'Captain, I'm tired' I wanted to hug him and just not let go again. Also, come on, if there's one this we should have learned is to never separate from Mark. Don't just let go! Even if you didn't connect that to being the root of all the problems, there's always a problem coming up if you and Mark go separate ways. Also, even though I'm sure you know by now (I hope) but that is indeed not Annus at the end there, but clearly Darkiplier. It makes sense if you've seen Heist and found Dark there. Annus is dead and gone and won't come back. Dark just stole his shoes ;) 'I blew up the universe again. Whoops' Best quote, ever.
The guy at the end was darkiplier. The reason he looks like Annus is because Mark originally used a white suit for darkiplier and when he did Unus Annus he needed a white suit. So he reused it.
Hey Dawko I am excited to watch this part as I loved part 1. And the ending you got last time is the only ending that connects with part 2. And Mark did an amazing job he is really one of the best TH-camrs on the platform. The post-credit scene features Darkiplier, Mark's "villain" character of the channel, who is characterized by a red and blue glow and accompanying high-frequency noise, and whose backstory has been explained throughout multiple lore videos. In A Heist, the crystal can be seen embedded into "the box", the big macguffin from that show. Do with that what you will. I would recommend you play through A Heist as well, even unrelated to this, it's a really cool, fun and creative show in general. If you're curious about Markiplier channel lore, you should watch the "Who Killed Markiplier" series, and the follow-up videos "Wilford 'Motherloving' Warfstache" and "Damien".

You probably already heard this back when you first released the video, but the Space Was Cool song was a "parody" of the Space Is Cool remix done by Schmoyoho, that had been uploaded to Mark's channel as well.
If you don't care about some "spoilers" for Heist with Markiplier which, I doubt it if you're watching this... The character at the end of the credits is Darkiplier, the distortion, ringing noise, and monochrome skin give it away, plus the lines he says are the same as his appearance in Heist With Markiplier, and he’s dressed in the suit and ring on his finger in that series. So this is implying that the Warp Crystal was used by Darkiplier to create the “Box,” which was the McGuffin of Heist that mysteriously had contents that changed with every ending of the series, as well as having that same blue crystal in it.

You should definitely watch Heist too if you can, it was super fun to watch you react to this stuff, and Heist is just amazing and has a ton of endings! You can also watch A Date With Markiplier which was Mark's first choose your own adventure show, it's also super fun, but way smaller than the others. I also recommend watching some of Mark's other projects in your own time so you can understand the post credits scene more. Markiplier TV, Who Killed Markiplier, Wilford Motherloving Warfstache, and Damien (the thumbnails for those videos were on the books Dadiplier, aka Stan the Water Man, was pulling off the shelf) I think will get you caught up on the Markiplier lore.

59:55 I think the main crew leads here somehow/somewhat remembered the time loops, Celene here referring to the captain in a more personable level of *earnest* thanking them for bringing the crew safe, the military guy mentioning “experience”, & the big engineer guy Burt with his small but strangely profound speech. And of course Mark at the end saying thanks to the captain for not giving up on him. They’re the most affected by the time loops with how close knit their relationships are to each other AND especially to the CAPTAIN, entire universes from the wormhole mess converged on this group, effectively giving them first-row seats of messed up spacey-timey-wimey unwillingly. IDK how space-time mechanics work, I just thought this was interesting.

A lot of people saying how letting go was the wrong choice. But is it really? I chose to hold on, because I remembered what Old Mark said. If he never went back then nothing would get screwed up to begin with. But remember what Ms. Whitacre says when you let go? If life was only filled with right and wrong choices then it's not really a choice at all and that's not living. Letting go loops you back to the beginning, it delays the end, but it doesn't stop it from happening. You get a chance to try again, to see what else is out there before the end inevitably comes. It's the completionist's route you could say. The universe is littered with the corpses of your failures but they aren't just your failures. They're Mark and the Lady's failures too. And you can't stop those failures from happening. If you let go then that just means there's still time to save everyone, even if only a handful of your choices actually matter. The Warp Core chose you to resolve the paradox for a reason, and even if you fail it still chooses you over and over again. Because you're the one who will ultimately stop the paradox. You can make the end happen, but it's not really a choice of if the end happens, but when. If you think about it, the only wrong choice in the matter would be completely giving up and allowing the corpses to keep piling on until the universe is destroyed for good (by this I mean clicking off the series before reaching its proper conclusion.)
I think people forget Mark studied civil and biomedical engineering... he's legit *super smart.* And it shows in the writing of In Space with Markiplier.
I love how it's switching between perspectives like one moment you're with the police officer investigator and the next minute you're the one pulling off the kill.
i'm pretty sure the particular darkiplier ending is the one that ties all of mark's universes together. dark technically has what he wants. as well as wilford, since he technically holds most of the power over mark's universes. so i wouldn't be surprised if part two is the close to marks universes. but!! i would love love love to see you, razz, and ryan do an adventure like this, and maybe have mark help you guys?

Actually, Dawko , there's a lot of positives to giving this a second try from the start. There's a whole story arc with other characters , other crazy animation , more Eggs , more music. The fact that fans have directly tied in scenes from Date , Heist , Who Killed Markiplier , Markiplier Tv , Warfstache etc just shows how clever this guy really is ... And I've no doubt he , Amy and his mates and cast would sign you and Ryan up in a microsecond.
AND OF COURSE I COULD LOOK AT THE MENTAL EDITING OF THIS ALL DAY LONG - just an excellent 👍 job.

It's funny people kept forgotten the hint that old Mark said, "Don't let me go on the warp core". Meanwhile every choice i did, that line never leaves me. Just interesting that a lot of people that i watched forgot that line.

Yeah, it clicked for me, but I thought there’d be some choice at like the beginning of the loop again. So I forgot momentarily until it sent me back into part 1, and once I was back to Old Mark in Part 2, I remembered!
It felt better to me to experience it that way though, though forgetting wasn’t intentional since I went different routes! It’s just that moment you don’t know what will happen if you trust Young Mark totally or if you hold on and he’ll try to kill you or something.

when I heard "space was so cool" I got so much nostalgia at once, mark is a literal legend and he has a special place in my heart with dawko and others
mark's storywriting and acting has gotten absolutely stunning. you can tell there was so much love put into this project and i'm so happy for everyone involved in it for such a job well done. the true ending and mark's singing especially had me in tears.

Dawko please play a heist with Markiplier, it’s not nearly as long as In Space, but it’s SO GOOD.
At the end the person that picked up the crystal was darkiplier, I think that because the suit and shoes he was wearing in one of the heist with markiplier endings, also the crystal isn't too similar but kinda similar to the one on the artifact in the heist with markiplier.
The good ending feels like Mark is talking to us fans directly, thanking us for staying with him all these years.

Technically the 'Hold On' ending is the only ending to "In Space with Markiplier" part 1 & part 2, since the other choice only resets to part 1, it isn't actually an ending.

I remember when I was going through to find all the different paths and videos I was avoiding choosing "Let go" bc I knew it was the wrong choice. It was genuinely so hard to let go and it was heartbreaking watching him be whisked away and seeing the universe restart where it all began. Mark really made something incredible and I'm so thankful he gave it to us for free. I can't wait to see what other crazy stuff he makes in the future. Thanks for playing it!!

Again, that end is just such a punch in the gut. It is emotional, Engineer Mark being this done with you, him being this assertive for once was just hard. He trusted us and then he just doesn't anymore. I was so hurt. And then he just collapses once he realizes he was wrong and we aren't the bad guys in this. I wanted to hug the guy so badly. Never wanted to hug any version of Mark more I think, then the Engineer in that specific moment. Like, the moment he looks at you and says 'Captain, I'm tired' I wanted to hug him and just not let go again.
Also, come on, if there's one this we should have learned is to never separate from Mark. Don't just let go! Even if you didn't connect that to being the root of all the problems, there's always a problem coming up if you and Mark go separate ways.
Also, even though I'm sure you know by now (I hope) but that is indeed not Annus at the end there, but clearly Darkiplier. It makes sense if you've seen Heist and found Dark there. Annus is dead and gone and won't come back. Dark just stole his shoes ;)

The guy at the end was darkiplier. The reason he looks like Annus is because Mark originally used a white suit for darkiplier and when he did Unus Annus he needed a white suit. So he reused it.

Hey Dawko I am excited to watch this part as I loved part 1. And the ending you got last time is the only ending that connects with part 2. And Mark did an amazing job he is really one of the best TH-camrs on the platform. By the way Dawko if the unlikely chance you see this, the musical Mark was singing is a reference to his space is so cool song he did a while back. Also at the end with the warp crystal, the person picking it up was Darkiplier.

The post-credit scene features Darkiplier, Mark's "villain" character of the channel, who is characterized by a red and blue glow and accompanying high-frequency noise, and whose backstory has been explained throughout multiple lore videos. In A Heist, the crystal can be seen embedded into "the box", the big macguffin from that show. Do with that what you will.
I would recommend you play through A Heist as well, even unrelated to this, it's a really cool, fun and creative show in general.

The person in the end credits scene was Darkiplier, he shows up in a path during Heist! He says that exact "So much trouble.. all for something so small." line at one point too! You can tell it's him because he has that specific ring, a blue and red chromatic abrasion filter around him, and his voice has that echo to it! If you want to see how Darkiplier was "formed," you can watch Who Killed Mariplier. It's a linear story that's actually pretty short, since it doesnt have the choose your own adventure style! The crystal is the blue gem in the box that you steal in Heist c:

The character at the end of the credits is Darkiplier, the distortion, ringing noise, and monochrome skin give it away, plus the lines he says are the same as his appearance in Heist With Markiplier, and he’s dressed in the suit and ring on his finger in that series. So this is implying that the Warp Crystal was used by Darkiplier to create the “Box,” which was the McGuffin of Heist that mysteriously had contents that changed with every ending of the series, as well as having that same blue crystal in it.

You should definitely watch Heist too if you can, it was super fun to watch you react to this stuff, and Heist is just amazing and has a ton of endings! You can also watch A Date With Markiplier which was Mark's first choose your own adventure show, it's also super fun, but way smaller than the others.
I also recommend watching some of Mark's other projects in your own time so you can understand the post credits scene more. Markiplier TV, Who Killed Markiplier, Wilford Motherloving Warfstache, and Damien (the thumbnails for those videos were on the books Dadiplier, aka Stan the Water Man, was pulling off the shelf) I think will get you caught up on the Markiplier lore.

They’re the most affected by the time loops with how close knit their relationships are to each other AND especially to the CAPTAIN, entire universes from the wormhole mess converged on this group, effectively giving them first-row seats of messed up spacey-timey-wimey unwillingly.

A lot of people saying how letting go was the wrong choice. But is it really? I chose to hold on, because I remembered what Old Mark said. If he never went back then nothing would get screwed up to begin with. But remember what Ms. Whitacre says when you let go? If life was only filled with right and wrong choices then it's not really a choice at all and that's not living. Letting go loops you back to the beginning, it delays the end, but it doesn't stop it from happening. You get a chance to try again, to see what else is out there before the end inevitably comes. It's the completionist's route you could say. The universe is littered with the corpses of your failures but they aren't just your failures. They're Mark and the Lady's failures too. And you can't stop those failures from happening. If you let go then that just means there's still time to save everyone, even if only a handful of your choices actually matter. The Warp Core chose you to resolve the paradox for a reason, and even if you fail it still chooses you over and over again. Because you're the one who will ultimately stop the paradox. You can make the end happen, but it's not really a choice of if the end happens, but when. If you think about it, the only wrong choice in the matter would be completely giving up and allowing the corpses to keep piling on until the universe is destroyed for good (by this I mean clicking off the series before reaching its proper conclusion.)
