- In the second round of the 2019 Wells Fargo Championship, Wesley Bryan started the par-5 6th hole in a tough spot after hitting an errant tee shot that was followed by a poor driver-off-the-dirt attempt. However, Bryan was able to miraculously recover, pulling off an incredible up-and-down from the pine straw that resulted in an improbable birdie.

Some Kentucky public tee boxes are so compacted, you need a hammer to put tees in. 🤣 I'm so glad I graduated to a good country club here, much better. 😉

Tee shot into the woods. "Finds it". Next shot across the fairway into the woods again. Don't see the guy for 5 minutes. Finally gets the ball into the green, "I'm putting for birdie, hbu?"

Rules changed in 2019. So that was an illegal drop.
The rule change for drops went into effect in 2019 (see Rickie Fowler's penalty at 2019 WGC Mexico). That coupled with my understanding that Wesley did not play in any PGA Tour events in 2019, since he was recovering from shoulder surgery, leads me to think this footage is from 2018.

He played 8strokes on par4 and still finished strong by 6 i think under par but had complete meltdown last day (qschool tournament)...was hard to see it😢

Iv been watching the bryan bros golf on youtube. For a while now .and iv never seen that video. Thats is Wesley in a nut shell . But nobodybcan doit better. For future readers today is 9/16/ 2024 monday . And yssterday was round 4 of the PROCORE tournament on the PGA TOUR and WESLEY BRYAN played great golf all weekend long finished up at -9 under par . And tied for 13 th. Had a great week on the pga tour . In the coming weeks his brother GEORGE BRYAN will be going to Q SCHOOL to try to qualify for a PGA TOUR CARD .... my prediction on that is that GEORGE gets his PGA TOUR card and joins his brother on the PGA TOUR ... MIC DROP !!! I had to add a lil bit of dramatic there at the end ...
