I have a question I would like your support thank in advance,If the actuator work using both port doble acting should I remove the spring ,What if I did not remove the spring and configure my positioner to work as doble acting ,is the spring going to interfere with the control from the positioner ,I have a configuration that work as doble acting but still has the spring (may be to provide fail action ) but I think it is causing the valve to be unstable even it has a tunning found with other valves working fine ,positioner already damaged and replaced but stil having the unstable position.thank for your help.
You can do as your mentioned. Regarding the spring, I think it only apply for single acting. If you use the spring for double acting, it's no meaning. It's the same with single acting.
Man its a wonder these youngsters can tie their shoes in the morning. I rebuild these for a living where I work.
I made the adjusting screws and retaining rings.
