Just get rid of the bunker making decisions after a try is awarded. Let the bunker affect the game, when the ref asks for it. We need the bunker when the ref needs to have a 2nd opinion on whether a try is scored or for a captains challenge. That's all.
Go the Broncos! "It broke their spirit" Kenty sayying OMG how could've they won after their feeling were hurt when they had a try scored against them? HAHA
Simple fix. Bunker ONLY replays the footage and the on-field ref makes the call. The bunker can refer an off-the-ball incident to the on-field ref but ultimately it's their call to go back or not. Keep the Capt Challenge, but if they blow it then it resets at half time.
So we now have an admission from the people in charge of the game that "mistakes happen" in a technology whose sole purpose (as sold to the fans) was that it would eliminate mistakes. It's one thing for a referee to make a mistake during a frenetic piece of play. It's quite another for someone to make a mistake who has total access to every available camera whose footage can be slowed to freeze frame. If you can't get that decision right - you should be disqualified from adjudicating in the Bunker. Of course, some might argue that the sole reason for introducing video replay technology was to allow faceless, unaccountable individuals who are in the pocket of the TV companies free latitude to interpret decisions as their owners see fit. Because if you wanted to conduct match-fixing it would be easy via replay technology. Who would know if "mistakes" are now acceptable?

Sorry but Union and how they use the TMO is so much better than the Bunker. 2 refs should be consulting each other on their thoughts rather than a bloke passing it on to another it’s same with VAR in football it’s just not working
I really dislike how he uses the 2 commentators disagreeing as a reason to use the bunker, I have countless times seen obstructions, forwards, failed groundings, and double movements, during live play, and they dont pick up on them at all, even during the replays. theyre just as bad for getting the viewers false hope for giving their own opinions
Not a fan of the bunker and not a fan of the faster ruck speed rule changes. All made in favour of the TV viewer. We criticise referees because we see more angles than they do. There will always be mistakes especially if the game has gone too fast. The bunker is based on opinion sometimes. Needs to be removed.
That guy sticking up for the bunker, he's in denial or under pressure to do so. Both wrong calls and I'm a nobody. Bring back benefit of the doubt it worked way way way better OR hold referees accountable and tighten up their knowledge on rules.
The 73 upheld captain challenges suggests that we need a bunker but damn it really slows down the sport these days. We had 15 years of cameron smith slowing games down arguing with referees and now we have the bunker stifling the tempo of the sport. It’s become so boring.
Newcastle number 7 made the defensive choice to attempt to tackle Broncos Number 12. The ball was released by Broncos 1 as his body was square up behind Broncos 12. Defending players are quick to milk the penalty when they make defensive errors. Newcastle 7 didn't even know Broncos 1 was going to get the ball, the Broncos used both speed and deception to score that try. Broncos 1 to cool and schooled the Knights. How bout that face palm also haha!

The level of reffing isn’t up to it either. Warriors game classic example, lomax coming out of the in goal and all the help he got was illegal Dragons players pulling on Warriors players. We should be worried about understanding of the rules .
He commited to a player that was clearly in front of the ball. So the argument that he was obstructed is complete rubbish. I bet if it was any team other then the broncos, nobody would be saying a damn thing.
The only thing that is annoying is the ref on field should call it "video ref" and not award the try. Not this take the points off rubbish. Can't even celebrate tries anymore 😪

So what is it get rid of it (blow it up) or modify it? But no one will point out how Paul Kent is laughable. Then Buzz said if he fell he would of got the penalty pointing out the stupidity and Hoops wants to say we don't want theatrics let the guy finish his sentence so he can say his piece because if he interrupted you in typical fashion you would get aggressive
It's better than the NFL to be honest. But sometimes it is frustrating. Penrith keep winning despite it so not complaining too much.
The only thing wrong with the game is the negative coverage and the dopes who tumble into it
What about all the grass roots footy kids been taught by there coaches you can't run behind a player then making it to the big time to be told they've been playing the sport wrong all these years🤦 When rules can be bent you know sportsbet involved🖕
@Logical Perspective stop lying bud !
He runs behind his man then passes
U should ur TH-cam name to blind perspective
Worst its ever been this year, say theres a try, you see it replayed for about 2 minutes then the ref sends it to the bunker, the bunker looks at it for another 2 or 3 minutes and still get it wrong half the time, if its gunna go to the bunker make the call straight away and get on with it, i didnt think the cowboys storm game was ever gunna end, even the commentators were saying at this rate the panthers game will start at midniggt
The bunker needs to go. It’s been nothing but problems
clean knock on gagai i seem that plenty times also obstruction could of gone either way
The 73 upheld captain challenges suggests that we need a bunker but damn it really slows down the sport these days. We had 15 years of cameron smith slowing games down arguing with referees and now we have the bunker stifling the tempo of the sport. It’s become so boring.
🤣 love this response
All Aussies shud be able to swear on tv thy r one of the best swearers in the world only us and the Irish r better 🏴
Take out the bunker.. and respect reffs like they do in union..
There is so much money riding on a game of football these days. We can't go back to just 1 ref and 2 touch judges. And the touches do their job
Simple really. You wouldn’t need the bunker if you didn’t have 10 video replays from different angles. No replays no bunker but unfortunately that’s not the case so get over the odd error. If Kent gets his way and blows up the bunker please make sure he’s in it.
Guys I think a little perspective is needed. If you think this recent controversy has been bad just imagine what the super league is like.
The level of reffing isn’t up to it either.
Warriors game classic example, lomax coming out of the in goal and all the help he got was illegal Dragons players pulling on Warriors players. We should be worried about understanding of the rules .
How can you pause the try, do the same with the obstruction. He runs behind him.
These blokes really need to grow up, Braith included.
Get rid of slow motion
Bro the bunker needs to be more consistent with their calls. Rn they’re a laughing stock
He commited to a player that was clearly in front of the ball. So the argument that he was obstructed is complete rubbish. I bet if it was any team other then the broncos, nobody would be saying a damn thing.
Let's be honest the bunker will stay solely for advertising and that's it
The only thing that is annoying is the ref on field should call it "video ref" and not award the try. Not this take the points off rubbish. Can't even celebrate tries anymore 😪
Is this a whinging kid show
Yes, yes it is.
Broncos won. Because of one controversial decision the Sunday footy show gave Broncos no props for a convincing win. Freddie and the crew chose to whinge about one decision on the field and totally disrespected the effort of the Broncos lads. Now you know why we look fwd to kicking your ass in Origin. QUEENSLANDER!!!
Whether you like it Or not Mr Kent it's here to stay it's progression for the good Of the game and nothing is perfect in life cause there's going to be MISTAKES You might NOT be HUMAN Mr Kent but I can guarantee you that 99.9 percent of the population are HUMAN 💯 percent
Can count on the bunker to kill your multi
Don't for get tye 2 tries the tigers were awarded and ball never touched the ground both times held up
anasta needs to stop he was the biggest obstruction runner of his time
Put Bill Harrigan in the Bunker for all 8 games each round.
Im very much pro bunker. Like anything it has its issues sometimes but the game is better off having it
It is time to retire the bunker
Let it only be used for try scoring and to look at dangerous play of 3 officials on the ground can't make those obstruction calls or knock ons or forward pass then it's play on and the on field officials need to be sanctioned and trained how to be better the are paid to reff so they should be held to the same standards as players
would you work in the bunker? not the easiest job ay.. no matter right or wrong the media will pick it apart. that's what thay get payed to do.
Old school video ref is all that’s needed !
Annesley needs to go , you just don’t get it do u mate
It broke Newcastle’s spirit ! And if it happened to one of the big teams eg
Sydney roosters , Brisbane broncos , Penrith panthers , Melbourne storm
It would’ve been adjudicated properly
Buzz is right for once
Adleast if it’s “ refs call “
It falls on one blokes shoulders
Not this computer bunker bs
Yes the bunker makes mistakes. But if you hurl abuse and insults at them you are clearly not a fan of nrl. The bunker has made this great game a better game and good comes with a sloght hint of bad.
How does that mean that ur not a fan of nrl ? Are u for real ?
It means we’re not a fan of there fucked up interpretation
Footy is a simple game !
You guys act like you guys ref a game before or in your life you ref a game.
Wouldn't have a problem with any of it if the refs and bunker faced the press after games too and jobs are on the line if they don't perform as well, like cmon would love them to face the press lol
Blow it up 💯
No the original use of the bunker is a sand filled whole
Whole hey?
It's a massive error wtf is he talking about
I don’t usually agree with K#nty 😜 however, yes blow it up! If not, Only for try scoring and get rid of the non player types in the bunker. They obviously have no understanding of the game of football. You can not make decisions based on slow motion and stop framed footage. Joey is 100% correct. Watch it twice in real time and make a decision. Our beloved Rugby League is turning into the NFL. One day it will be a 3 hour game full of stops and starts…. Graham Annesley has to go……. Stop the spin doctoring Annesley!
Of course refs boss wants the bunker to stay .. employment opportunities for mates
Old mate getting frustrated haha
Hes in denial
The bunker is crap and the rules are crap, the sports is turning into soccer where players qtry and milk penalties...
bro this always happens, nrl is not enjoyable anymore
That's all you say got that one wrong..And its NOT JUST THESE FEW ITS ALL OF THEM FRIGGEN EVERYWEEK YEARS OF IT ..ITS BS THERE GOT AT..THE BUNKER IS BS like gus gould full of it..AND THEY STILL GET IT WRONG ANYWAY BLOW IT UP
Its back to "penalty broncos" They won against bulldogs off an obstruction in round 2 too. I've always said that annesley will always make some bs up to support the refs and bunker and this just makes it more evident 😂
Nothing is going to change until refs are held accountable for influencing the outcome of games
That wasn’t an obstruction at all in the bulldogs game 😂
Knights game was clearly an obstruction though
@@96model96 how was it not?
@@Izzy-oo5rm caught on the outside shoulder, defender initiated the contact on the lead runner 👍
@@96model96 its the lead runners responsibility to not initiate contact. The defender was sliding out towards the person with ball. Obstruction everyday of the week unless youre a bronco apparantly
Rugby League dying a nice slow death will
be RIP in 5-9 years
Annesley and his refs are an absolute joke,if we made this many mistakes in our jobs we be sacked Ashley Klein butchered origin and the raiders game today Ben Cummins is lost and the rest are pitiful week in week out getting it wrong every week, ridiculous
He’ll always back his bunker bogans.
Kent is a Grub
These guys are just one sided blues supporter's.
This had more traction then Kikau's knock on.
It's true, you can't hide from the fact that this has had more heads turn then the untouchable Panthers !!!!
Not like KNIGHTS had any momentum considering that Broncos had 2 disallowed try's in the first half and Broncos had 70+% of ball position . Let me guess Junky Johns was a little upset and chucked a tantrum then when around sooking to all the media 😂😂😂
I'm a big fan of Women's Rugby league because of this bullshit.
