story behind song is that young people from Croatia going from home to work in foreigner country's to make money for living in this case young man going from his small village to big city, that's why he sad on start "i'm big boy now" he is old enough to go on path where lots of young was before him , and then he say i sold my cow, he make money from selling cow to have enough money to start better life in other country and buy ticket for boat to leave, he make party for his village to dance with them for last time because its best way to cover his sadness because he is leaving his loving village and loving people behind.
