I'm trying to get my Dad's TGA Breeze S4 going - it was working a few months ago but now it won't charge so I presume it's the battery but his was purchased in 2012 so it's the older version. I think it only has one battery - will it be the same battery. Do you have a video for the older version as I am a complete novice but it will be worth it if I can get the use of it myself as it has less than 1000 miles on the clock! Any help would be greatly appreciated. I feel I could do it from watching this video if it was the right model!
Hi , if a single battery it will be easier and cheaper as the batterys can be quite expensive, I dont know what amperage the battery will be , but if the battery is 10 years old I can understand why the low mileage and it has lasted long , I have to replace mine every two years but I do about 2000 miles each year and it has two. I am sure to access the battery it will be same as video as most scooters are similar. ie remove the seat and the cover. If you can check if 1 or 2 batteries and also how many amps the battery is eg 70 Amp , I can further advise. I have had mine 6 years and nothing goes wrong with it other than tyres and the batteries. They are very good scooters so before considering the possibility of buying a new scooter , the battery would be the first thing I check. How long do you charge it for and how often. ?
Just swopped my uncles batterys out and put in leasure batteries, all works fine , but the charger lights says batteries are low / dead , will it still charge them now???
@palletwoodcamper yes was fine , s40 ran out of power on way home , batteries are very old i believe so done well just paranoid the old charger is not seeing the leasure batteries, as old 1s were glass matt batteries

I forgot to ask , I take it when charging the lights on the charge are red , turning to green after a charge ?

@@plumbc007 new batteries i think , they have a short life of maybe 2 years if scooter used regular
@palletwoodcamper it's all ok , I checked just now , and battery charger is now showing full , I suspect they had to balance themselves first
Cant believe you didnt dry all the water you sprayed in the battery housing area. Thats just going to rust and rot the floor away.
no more than rain water comes off the road richard, scooter was quite old then , got new one now but valid point
