No it didnt theres more to be desired in the sound quality dept..the eq on the pioneer does help a little. I will install higher quality speakers next and amp if i need to.
Great video! I will definitely use it as a reference. Side question, where did you get the steering wheel? I have a 2013 C6 427 and want to also upgrade the steering wheel.
Hey John, I am doing this exact same radio and PAC interface on my C6 Z06. How was the space behind radio fitting the interface and all the wiring in there?
There is plenty of room to tuck everything in nicely. I know it looks like an insane amount of stuff that has to go back in. I just made sure nothing can press on the PAC interface program button etc.
Nice car. I have the "bose" setup and it sounds horrid. did this setup improve the sound quality? Were the stock speakers and amp fine? I'm guessing that the head itself is the main problem.. I can deal with the stock tech but the poor audio is intolerable.
im very please with the sound from headunit utilizing factory bose amp and speakers. It does sound better because of the great EQ the pioneer has. Main reason i chose it over an alpine. Im very pick with audio quality and im still pleased. Dont really want to run speaker wires for new speakers right but maybe down the road...
i could not get the oem usb connection to work with the new headunit after many attempts. So i gave up, pulled it all out and upgraded it with a new USB 3.0 with AUX in interface.
how is this headunit working for you 11 months later and did you have any issues with the chimes in the vehicle? I just picked up a 2012 c6 gs and was planning on running the same setup
Im liking it still. No issues with chimes. I may upgrade the speakers down the road and rewire as i think the factory bose is just ok. I prefer better sound from the speakers. But EQ is great on this Pioneer.
@@JohnFrancoNH got it hooked up but for somereaoson my steering wheel controls aren't working, any idea why? I have the pioneer radio 4600 and it says you only need to connect the aux jack and not use the other wires. not sure what I could be doing wrong. how did you wire your steering wheel controls part

Did the head unit improve sound. Im thinking of going with a separate amplifier and not the bose

@@JohnFrancoNH thanks for the honest answer!!!
Just pickedup my 2013 grand sport. Thanks for posting this. I was confused about how to use my stock USB port. This answered it.

@@JohnFrancoNH thank you for your reply! Can't wait to get it in!
Does the hud only lose the radio stuff on display?
What brand and model number camera did you use? I have a 2013 Grand Sport Auto Convertible.
The amazon links to the exact items i used are listed below the video. Thanks for watching!
Great video! Will be using this for when I install one on my Z. Where did you get the E-brake boot? I assume you have a shifter boot to match?
One more question. My car has the OEM mike in the upper left of the windshield. Will I still be using that? Thanks in advance for the response
No i am using the newly supplied one with the headuint instead. The factory items do not tie in well.
Does your heads up display still function with this setup? If so im sold on it
No. HUD does not interface with the PAC adapter.

Do you know if the radio could have retained your factory back up camera?
No factory backup camera on this car
I experience more of a need for a nose camera for a low spoiler.
If my usb in the back is working with the OEM radio, do I have to replace it?
