Exactly! I had the same scenario here when I bought my KTM SDR. Had to convince the wife of its practical, daily application (enough power to get out of dangerous situations, for example). The torque is addicting, I agree with you, and doubt I could come down off it now. Ride safe and see you in the wind!
i think im number one, i own a $300 Chinese pit bike that i have run with out and once it seized i just put a socket and a torque wrench on the fly wheel and it still ran fine

I love pushing sport bike riders through the mountains on my Harley's. Just because the bike is capable of doing certain things does not mean the rider is. On several occasions I had to back off because the sport bike riders was pushing themselves way past their limits trying to get away from a "damned old Harley"

Haha when I get my bike rewired and a head lamp bracket you can add it to the poor squid pics... a poor rider who buys other squid's bikes after they put them into the pavement. We can be found repairing rear fairings with Home Depot plexiglass and trying to hide all of our wiring in the frame. Notice how we just repaint out stator and clutch covers instead of replacing them.
